Literally every TvP series looks like this video, Terran does a 2 tank marine all in with the SCV’s and yolos at 5/6 minutes, then rolls the dice on if the protoss actually used their bonejaw brain (after receiving all of the information that he’s going to all-in from minute 2 with sentry hallucinations) to build enough chargelots and batteries to defend it.
OR
the terran tries to play a macro game (usually after defeating the bonejaw protoss in the previous match with an all-in and doesn’t want to be too predictable) and loses. The commentators have been repeatedly talking about how the game is “even”, and the game state looks something like:
protoss has 3/4 bases, warp prism and stalkers out with blink
VS
terran on 2 base, with a raven and 2 tanks positioned deep next to the natural/main mineral line with a bunker
Protoss’ decision tree in these games are as follows:
1.) build sentry and halluc phoenix to terran main
2.) notice late natural if at all
===> chrono boost chargelots and build 3 batteries in your natural. GG you’ve won the game in 3 minutes when terran tries to push and you can amove your chargelots onto his tanks
3.) notice he’s doing a defensive macro build
===> swat down the pathetic 2 mine drop/cyclone 4 marine drop
mass expand while collecting info whenever he’s going to move out, what tech he’s going towards with sentry hallucination/observer
===> Collect enough high templar or colossus and win the game with chargelots and a move
Game 2: 1 base all in, protoss scouts it with their legal map hack, and rushes charge. You know what happens next. P win.
Game 3: GumiGOAT goes battle mech and the protoss doesn’t know what to do (because they’re used to A moving onto T/Z armies with chargelots, and cant do that against mobile battlemech comp) and GumiHo wins.
Game 4: tries a macro game without mech, dies to chargelots A moving
There it is. A protoss rockjaw trogg aimed at not addressing the criticism and original message of the thread, but derailing it in order to drive away discussion from the real problem.
lmao i play zerg you weirdo, and dont sit here and change the subject, did you not post this same stuff 2 weeks ago. Why not go back to that thread and cry more.
what discussion and analysis, all your doing is crying thats it, there aint a discussion. if anyone says different than you, act like a baby throwing a tantrum on the ground.
I just provided a discussion on PvT in the GSL seed 1 and 2, and then gave my analysis on how protoss and terran delve through the game via strategy and decision making, as you can see by my decision tree. I then compare and contrast the all-in and macro strategies and their outcomes, drawing a conclusion from the observed trend, that all-in is the only viable and consistent way to beat Protoss in the GSL due to balance issues.
All you’re doing is de-railing it again and bringing up “whining”. Whine this whine that, if you don’t like it. you can gladly press ctrl+w.
a discussion needs people who have a difference of opinion from more than one party, you sir, are only accepting opinions from like minded people and if some one says differently you do the childish thing and plug your ears and go " lalalala i cant here you, your a protoss sympathizer "
thats not a discussion thats you just crying and looking for others to cry with you.
Once again, you have no refute to anything ive brought up pertaining to the subject at hand (balance in PvT). So please stop replying to this thread, youre bringing down the quality of the forum by responding.
sure you want me to refute your crying, i will do that, terran op, protoss too easy, way to easy to beat.
as for your aguments, pros are terrible examples of balance, and you shouldnt use pros, there pros for a reason, there skilled better than the majority of the people. stop watching trash pros and using them for balance. go watch mid range games from rando twitch streamers.
also stop your crying, its not a good look, the forums aint your hanky
wnight is a troll. I’ve never seen him contribute to a discussion – not a single time. Protoss imbalance is a simple matter of basic mathematical competency:
True or false, can you read a chart:
True: protoss is overpowered.
False: protoss isn’t overpowered.
It’s literally that simple.
Side note. It is interesting how many people are willing to throw their reputations into the meatgrinder defending protoss. They are SC2’s own version of flat earth. “ACKSHUALLLLLLLY the earth is flat because the 17d hyperboloid projection of a sphere transposed onto a metaformic cartesian axis in 6 dimensions of the space time continuum shows the obliquity is in complete totality. I am sorry you aren’t smart enough to understand, but the earth is flat”.
vs
“ACTSHUALLY, protoss is disfavored in the late game due to the mobility of +2 adrenal lings in combination with a frontal push with the main army since fungal guarantees zerg can pick a good fight or to retreat and with the intense multitasking required to deal with the adrenal counter attacks the zerg is bound to isolate either the archons or the tempests. I am sorry you can’t understand the game from your measly Grandmaster rank, unlike I, the GOD-protoss with 8000 mmr and 60 apm.”
