Every time I tried to lower the graphics setting it tells me to restart the game to take effect. But as the game restarts, all of the settings go back to default and an error message says “unable to detect optimum graphics settings” shows up. I’m also unable to save/watch replays, and all of my replay files&hotkey settings are gone.
Also, each time when I start the game it plays me the Legacy of the void CG, which seems really abnormal.
yes I have this issue too, to fix it I had to make a new user account on my macbook and it had to be named SC2
For some reason ever since patch 5.0.9, starcraft 2 doesn’t properly know where to place it’s own files. If you make a new user on your computer and call it SC2 it seems to know where to place the files as long as you use that user-account to play sc2 it should work.
I think there might have been another step to this workaround… I know someone posted about this in the mac technical support threads somewhere (over a year ago)
