Ultralisk too strong for pretty long

Wehn the problem will be addressed by the bananalance team? Did they lost their abnana of the lance so they cant brinh banalance? We need bananalnace on the ukltralisk problem -2 armor wuld solve teh issue and don’t treat me lite a troll cuz all i say is really tru just itz loosk wierd. Trutgh spoken.

Voids melt ultras if you have enough of them
Same with immortals if you have enough of them

What about terran if i terran noob goes bio? How is he supposed to counter ultralisks?

Marauder can slow ultra with concussive, so if he runs away, they’ll go real slow so you can hunt them down. Also, they’re designed to be a defensive unit. Are they usually inside bases, or on the outskirts?

Ok then. But what about if you play bio and there is composition of ling/bane/ultra? Banelings kills marines (even if there is split they won’t do anything to ultralisks), marauders dies to mass speedlings and ultralisks are doing the rest.

I was pretty sure this was a satire post but just in case this isnt…

Ultras are not OP.
Many things counters them.
If you play terrans , makes ghost or marauders.
For zergs , lurkers and roaches.
For protoss , immortals or voidrays are the simplest answers .

Sure they are tough to kill but its the only thing that balances them due to how expensive they are for how much they get done ( which isnt that whole lot consideri g often you can get the same job done for cheaper recourses ). Which is why some people joke aroud saying " if you want to throw a game , make ultras ! "

Got 50% correct, listen to him. Anyway, they cost 300 minerals, 200 gas and take a minute to hatch from the egg, which is annoying when you need them most in critical situations.

Doesn’t work. One shot and zerg army is already at your tanks. I tried literally everything. The only solution is to go pure mech rush but then zerg just simply goes swarm hosts.

So MECH > ULTRALISKS
SWARM HOSTS > MECH

ZERG SWITCH TECH > TERRAN

They can adapt too easily.

Harass them? Do distractions that will make extra pings for him on the map, which would make him waste a few seconds checking what happened? I always lost to this stuff. They don’t have much options until they get a Lair. Also, deny creep spread wherever possible, as ultra speed on creep is insane.

Oh yeah, just remembered. Raven missile seeker on units can remove some armour. Useful for terrans.

Umm… But zerg also can make distractions attacks. Why it’s supposed to be a terran thing? Also it doesn’t solve the problem because thats how my games looks like. I do multi harass everywhere, they defend and then the timer hits around 8 min mark and THE ULTRAS ARE COMING OUT. Ling/bane/ultra VS my bio. gg

EDIT: raven missile does help a bit thats true, but it’s still not enough and requires a tech switch in starport

Do you let them expand? Deny this and they’ll have a hard time. This is really important in the lategame, as once they get mass drones, they’ll have such good economy that they’ll afford to get better macro and bigger army quicker, as getting army then drones makes them lose most games.

Thats standard gameplay of terran - deny the zerg expand. But it doesn’t work in masters, and then they go ultralisks - the horror starts there

You could get banshees, and get extractors and drone kills wherever possible. Have you tried using vikings to take out the overlords? You should kill these overlords whenever you get the opportunity. 100 minerals for each one, and if you take out many at a time, you’ll be able to cripple their economy as they’ll have to waste money, and army won’t be able to grow for a bit, so try to kill some of that too.

I always get one viking before the medivacs. It does help a bit I can’t disagree there but it’s not enough. The game always end at zerg having the ultralisks around 10 min mark and it’s gg no matter how much I harass.

Take them by surprise. Maybe thor drop to take out key tech structures or overlords? You can do that before the 10 minute mark, maybe around the 4-5 minute mark. Reaper harass, but if you can kill any lings, it’ll make a huge difference early-game. Dunno why but the coaches recommend you to protect your lings from reaper harass as they are vital in some areas.

Thor drop is all in. It sometimes does work but if it don’t then the game is over. Reaper harass is a must - I do this, but it’s just a opener it doesn’t automatically wins the game.
