i mean in addition to 9,10 and 11. though in order to simplify the selection for the players, they should add it to the settings menu. i am not sure how it would benefit the game but, it would certainly not hurt.
youve been told how many times sc2 is out of developement, among getting banned a bunch of times. why are you even here.
it is not out of development as long as they are releasing patches. they just released a patch. i have not seen any bans from this forum. though my other profiles is banned from starcraft 2 for some reason. you want to know why? because i tried to get around a leaver penality in co-op.
You have a bad memory.
- The patches for balance are by the community, not blizzard
- The patches by blizzard are bug fixes only, not new development.
- There is no leaver penalty except in your head since NO ONE except you has ever seen it. NO ONE.
- You already tried this non sense.

It’s in what is considered “Long Term Support” which is completely distinct from being in development. Basically: If bugs that negatively impact performance are found or necessary support updates (balance) are required - minimal work will be done to implement the fix. Outside of that, no resources will be assigned to SC2.
this dude knows all this, hes been told this countless times, countless. Hes also been banned for spamming this supposed " LEAVER PENALTY" where he says that when he leaves a coop game theres a penalty and he gets no exp the next few games, even tho there is no such thing.
direct x 12 support should not be very difficult to add. at some point, intel`s cpus might drop both direct x 10 and direct x 11. they already dropped direct x 9. they should be ahead of that and add direct x 12 support before intel cpus becomes unable to run the game. the game will have trouble running even now on intel arc gpus, as they only support direct x 12.
thats cause intels lame, switch to amd
Opengl is better than directx anyway. Directx support really only matters if you plan to release for xbox. SC2, I believe, can be run with opengl by adding -opengl to the command line, but don’t quote me on that. Intel arc supports opengl so you’re probably good. After looking it up, it seems to be -rdevice gl
instead.
It could be toggling a config value up a number and it wouldn’t happen. Because even that tiny change would mean they’re officially continuing development - which they are not. It will literally, and I mean this in the classic sense of the word literally, never happen. You and I will die, the world will turn into molten slag as the sun expands consuming it and SC2 will still never have been updated w/ newer DirectX support.
starcraft 2`s opengl support is limited. it is limited to 512 megabytes of vram. that limit was inposed on me when i tried to switch from direct 3d to opengl. not only that but, the diret 3d option in the variables.txt file vanished.
