The 2v2 rankings are completely broken. Both my teammate and I have consistently been ranked Gold or Platinum in both 1v1 and 3v3 for years now, yet are constantly placed into Bronze in 2v2, even with an MMR of right around 3k. Despite being placed in Bronze in 2v2, we barely ever play against people around our skill level; we’ll occasionally play a team or two at our level, but as soon as we get towards the top of the Bronze rankings, we get hit with nothing but Diamond and Masters guys, who completely ruin us every time. It has been like this for several years now, and is incredibly frustrating. We’ve stopped playing for large stretches of time in the past because of the issue, but I can’t believe it hasn’t been fixed yet. Please fix it.
Its called the bronze league bug, and yes has been around for years. but as for it getting fixed, our forum mods here have told me its not game breaking so they probably wont fix it ever, even tho last season it did get fixed and is now back this season. Now i personally have hounded them about this along with other people here on the forums, but to no avail. frankly if they think its not game breaking enough then were probably screwed. Which personally i think they need to get there heads removed from the there rear ends cause its destroying the match ups on 2v2. Not only is it killing the teams when you got people teamed with you that are ranked way lower mmr wise, but its also destroying the mmr gain and deduction at the end of the game. when i win on 2v2 im lucky if i get above 20 mmr for a win, but if i lose one game i usually always lose above 20 mmr. Now this may not seem like a big deal but when you win three games then lose one and it knocks you down the same mmr you just just won in the last three then those three games were not even worth playing. I play alot of 2v2 and i have gotten no where this season, yet ive managed to stay in the top 8 of my bracket since the start of the season. Its getting very old that they havent fixed this yet. I mean how hard is it to go into the mmr values and punch in the right number ranges for the leagues. god for bid this happened in 1v1, if it did youd see every single sc2 caster out there making a giant deal out of it and the problem would get fixed, but since its not 1v1 its not a problem.
Play 4V4 It’s more fun.
hate the maps, too many people and not enough rescourses, you end up fight with the team over whos taking what more than you play. Ill stick to 2v2 and 3v3, the maps are way better.
No you’re wrong. That’s a common misconception about 4v4 maps. There’s plenty of resources and expansions. Funny, my friend says the same thing about 3v3 maps. That they’re too small and not enough expos. And that’s why he likes 4’s better. Besides we’re getting new maps too.
na, every map on 4v4 has less rescourses than most of the 3v3 maps. there are two really bad ones on 3v3 that have low rescourses and i think one of them is being kept in the new patch, black site if im not mistaken. but yeah 3v3 maps are way better than the 4v4. 4v4 looks like they have more but with a extra player there really not. Most of the games ive played on 4v4 you get about 3 patchs to your self and then gotta fight over who gets what after that. where as in the 3v3 maps most of them have enough for each person to get around 5 to 6 patchs before the fighting for the left overs occurs.

Everything you’ve described is exactly what we’ve experienced. If they fixed it last season, how hard is it to just fix it permanently? I would go on more about describing how miserable an experience the bug is, but you explained it well and said that it’s a known issue, so I won’t go there for now. Just going to keep hoping they’ll fix it soon while I still have an interest in the game, but it’s really disheartening. Maybe we’ll just switch to 3v3 with randos. Thanks again.
yeah sorry man, hope it gets better for you. yeah its been around for awhile. 3v3 aint bad there are alot of tkers tho that hang in 3v3, along with the guys who do absolutely nothing but play sim city. Its kinda why i flip flop between 2v2 and 3v3. anyways maybe youll see me in game, im the one only winterknight, so if you see me hit me up.
