Sub 3500 MMR Players in Masters?

I’m not sure how common this is for others, but I have now seen at least half a dozen players who are ranked in Masters, this season, while having an MMR of 3500 or less. To put that in perspective, I am currently in Diamond 1 with an MMR of just over 4000. I have seen master league players with MMRs as low as 2500.

Can anyone tell me what is going on here. Is this just a byproduct of having only one placement match per season, resulting in some people winning games they perhaps shouldn’t have, and being placed far higher than typical?

Well known bug at this point who knows when it will be fixed

Probably will be fixed during the next season in one month.

I suspect you have seen BatZ on Ladder. Was this 3500MMR dude playing Zerg?

If you look at current league distributions america seems to be bugged having 20% of its players in masters vs the others servers being between 3-4 wich is the intended.

Korea also seems to be a litle off having a 7% masters representation.
