So recently I learnt from a friend that if you use the steal key you can make apm go to ridiculous hights, I saw him peaking at 1 million apm. When he get to that amount of apm our connection started lagging out, like we were dropping out of the game but what we didn’t notice at first was that it was ALSO affecting our opponents. The first step to discovering this is that we were playing 4v4 and I was just hotkey stealing my workers and my teammates stared complaining about huge amounts of latency lag.
We tried this experiment out in a custom game and my friend, while just playing the game, ended up getting 3000+ ms when I was just hotkey stealing a bunch of lings. Now I am not sure how this actually works and it might have been that all the people I’ve tried this on have had terrible computer specs or had really bad or limited connections and their bandwidth just can’t hold it or something, I don’t know.
