Starcraft ii balance update - october 29, 2019

As my daddy used to tell me, “it always starts with the other hitting back”. Now I ain’t sure of what that means, but this just feels like the tired same old again.

Sorry. Hence my attempt to direct the thread back to the actual post and the points that ChinaZerg made about balance.

Not gonna lie, I honestly thought his answer was pretty funny, but I don’t have a stake in this. Quick question, is it permitted to post in other languages than English on these forums? And hopefully that’s my last off-topic message here.

There is nothing about posting in foreign languages in the code of conduct, so I assume it’s allowed.

That said, everyone posts in English mostly, so if someone posts Espanol, French, German, Russian or any non-English language, I’m sure the other posters would appreciate a translation. Similarly, I’ll translate any Chinese and Japanese posts I see here.

Considering that Storm, Widow Mines, and Disruptors are essential for dealing with some Zerg ground units, I don’t think that one in particular would be balanced. Spell damage often needs to be “exact”, which is why Oracles are not affected either.

I still remember Has’s mass Oracles destroying someone’s Hydralisks. Did they buff the Hydralisks after that or nerf the Oracles? I can’t remember.

Oracle damage was nerfed to 22 against light, but I don’t think Hydralisks are the cause. They just happen to benefit (5 shots instead of 4).

That makes sense. It was just awful to watch Hydralisks get massacred by Oracles so easily. Hilarious, yes, but awful.

The IT change is a terrible, terrible idea. I would like to see it work on structures too, as well as ground units. Maybe get rid of blinding cloud entirely from vipers, just make the infestor a defiler. Heck give it plague.

Actually use it in game. While it does need buffs, it also can be very good in late game situations vs air armies.

I give this a negative 10. This is the worst change ever. Even worse than what they did to the raven.

You would hate the Defiler.

Also Infestors still have Fungal and NP.

Removing free unit spells and replacing it with a spell that actually makes the Zerg ground army stronger against late game air is the best change ever.
