SC2 can’t left-click to make buildings (MacOS 12, M1)

I can select units in-game, but I can’t place any buildings. The left-click “target-on” just isn’t working at all.

Also my ESC key is not working in-game. It works when I am back in the game selection menu, though.

This is a freshly installed Starcraft 2 on MacOS Monterey on a new Macbook M1 Pro. The game sits in a non-default install path: /Applications/Games/StarCraft II

I have tried to re-set the game settings via the battlenet client. I also tried a full re-install. Any ideas?

I re-installed it in the default directory /Applications/Starcraft II and now it works.

Odd.
