Request: Allow user whitelisting of downloaded cutscenes

As I’m sure we are all aware, map publishing has been basically disabled, as has the playing of cutscenes on already-existing maps, due to a bug that allowed abuse. While there is a limited amount that can be done until Blizzard programmers track down and fix the bug in question (which I understand can be a lengthy process), one thing that does come to mind is to create some way (probably based on a text file placed somewhere that StarCraft does not have write access to) that users can manually whitelist cutscene files already downloaded to their mods folder. This would at least help for cases like Mass Recall, even if it isn’t a full restoration of capabilities, and seems like it would probably not be too difficult to implement.

Request unlikely to be acknowledged or fulfilled, although I personally hope the “whitelist” is removed entirely when the issue is actually solved.

My hopes aren’t high.

Is this why my accounts are banned? Because my maps do have cutscenes data, but they are basically used to render vfx / models as UI elements… they don’t play any video lmao.

No; in-engine cutscenes are unaffected, and even “movie” cutscenes technically play, they just have no video.
