Protoss: The Real Numbers

I am constantly seeing conflicting numbers from various posters, such as:

  • P is the lagging race for the last 1000 periods
  • P is lagging by 22% on Aligulac this period
  • P is “40% of GM”
  • P is 12 of the final 8 players in X tournament
  • P hasn’t won a premier tournament since 2017
  • PvZ is 40%
  • PvT is 45%
  • PvT is 55%
  • Etc.

Can we finally get to the bottom of all this? Post your numbers with evidence, and let’s see what they really reveal. I have a very strong suspicion that the numbers will support the general feeling out there that P has been nerfed into oblivion, and that the last two years have not been great for P (a continual down-slide, with nerfs every patch since 2017-2018).

Current aligulac period PvT 171–166 (50.74%)
Previous aligulac period PvT 266–285 (48.28%)

Present PvT is balanced, the 55% happened in November.

PvZ is never at 40% it usually is about 45-47%

Protoss 40% of the GM ladder, not true, but at the EU and KR server (highest level) it is at 37% being the most played race.Source, rankedftw which is now working again.

P as lagging race, yes, by 22%, and since forever, more or les 35-37 periods.
