Mengsk Mastery recommendation

We’re still wondering why we didn’t just send down a choker to 1v1 Amon and save the universe.

I suppose the the real question is… Choker versus Elemental… who would win ? My money is still no Elemental because it has no weakness to the :sunny:

You don’t know that. That planet has like no sun, it’s so dark.

Sources please. Trebuchetes are nowhere near as accurate as modern Artillery…

Were talking “accurate enough to hit a building consistently” not “accurate enough to snipe a soldier off the walls of said building deliberately”.

Note: I never argued that Trebuchets were not accurate. Rather i am arguing the very wrong idea that Howitzers are inaccurate. The M777 has a Circular Error Probability(Accuracy radius) of 10 meters at 24 kilometers. Trebchetes may be accurate but they are absolutely nowhere near that accurate.

You’re not wrong, if you were to fire modern artillery within the range of a trebuchet it would be far more accurate. Like Kelthar said, by “decently accurate” I mean “can hit 10 meter tall, kilometer wide, castle wall”, not “hit captain in chest”.

Trebuchets were crazy long range back in the day, 300 meters or so. Modern artillery clocks in at 10s of kilometres. Firing at max range for both, which is going to be further off target if fired 1° off?

Indirect fire without a spotter could never be perfectly accurate.

All that aside, Earthsplitter Ordinance are probably amazingly accurate. But somehow I don’t think Mengsk really cares about collateral damage.

Typically because the targets are ridiculously large (i.e. castles and forts) or largely clustered (town behind the walls). And even then, the range is nothing to boast compared to modern (guided missiles and targetting computers) or SC (Siege Tanks and Liberators) terms.

My point was that compared to crappy catapults we came a long way when it comes to hitting things with more powerful stuff from a longer range and with higher accuracy.

Gladonos, the M777 is a relatively small calibre howitzer…

Let’s compare the USN 16" /50 guns used on the Iowa class Battleships.

Their dispersion ranged from 112m to 200m - that’s a very big building that is needed to be hit…

Sure because ESO’s TOTALLY need to be stronger than they already are /s.

Ouch
