i have i7-8700k and rtx 2080 ti and the game recommends high, even though it runs perfectly on extreme. it might be the case with other gpus as well(not gtx 1070, 1080 and 1080 ti but, likely the entire 20 series). it should be fixed. there is however another bug which is that gtx 770m is incorrectly recognised as intel HD 4600 because that laptop have both. it is a clear difference what gpu it is using however. when actually rendering on the HD 4600 it runs slowly but, when rendering on the 770m it runs fast. i know it is an old gpu and as such: fixing the problem with analysing the rtx 2080 ti is more important.
