I really want to play the excellent “Mass Recall” mod which ports the whole Starcraft and Broodwar campaigns into Starcraft 2. It features new ingame-cutscenes, new 3D models and also updated original cutscenes - Which as of 7 months ago wont work anymore.
Right - Any news when this feature comes back? I have been patient, but it has been seven months….

I doubt this gets fixed ever. They haven’t’ supported the editor for any of their games in years. They don’t even bother updating the editor when they patch the game itself.

The problem all this time hasn’t been the editor…
I wouldn’t count on it getting fixed regardless of what causes it, because most of the development team no longer works for the company. It’s just not feasible for them to fix every remaining bug in the game with no real payout for doing so.
The way this game was first designed, it’s not practical to fix every bug in it anyway 14 years after the fact. Older games were mostly text based, so you could fix bugs immediately and didn’t even need to be on the dev team to know how to fix bugs. This game is coded in a way you’d need to be on the original dev team to understand how to debug anything or mod anything in any significant way.
No one said anything about fixing every bug.
You haven’t been around the last year and it shows. You haven’t a clue what youre talking about. Blizzard has already fixed and/or mitigated all the major issues since maintenance mode, which constitutes work. The pay out is that the game can continue to be played. Im not surprised that you cant understand that. And this current problem, blizzard has been working on it. The relaunch in china pulled work away, but theyve been testing fixes there since they have to be working on that china version anyway. Youre out of your element, like usual. You really dont have any leg to stand on here or on the problem. Stick to things you at least know a little about.
Don’t expect this game to get patched very many more times, because it’s being phased out of e-sports and the company is not making any more money on it. Why would they pay an entire team of people to maintain this game, when it’s literally time to retire the game and make something else that actually interests a broader community.
That doesn’t really have anything to do with you not knowing whats going, does it.
The Last update on it was in December so, not bad but definitely not great
Would be lovely to have this re-enabled now that publishing has been re-enabled
