Today, I discovered that if your ally is Tychus, and he disconnect, you can try to use his medivac from the platform (since no top bar)
I say “try”, because while you can pick up Tychus and his merry friends like that, you can’t choose the destination of the medivac drop, so Tychus&Co are just unavailable until the medivac spit them back on spot.
