And that only shows, that being a strong player doesnât mean you are competent in terms of balancing the game. (also you got a typo, should be âcanât take him seriousâ, right?)
Well. If youâre Bronze-Platinum league player you probably donât even know what youâre talking about when mentioning balance, so being in Diamond/Master/GM helps with that a lot. But as you increase your MMR, competences doesnât have to.
You may observe what problems are with race designs, but people usually are not objective. Opinion is worthy to consider, but it is not any indication in itself. Opinion without larger context is still just an opinion, doesnât matter if Serralâs or Dallarianâs, because we do not even know what they took into account while making the opinion.
But we still keep getting threads âsomeone said something is OP/underwhelming itâs 10000% proof nerf Zergâ from people who do not seem to understand this.

Terrans have always hated Protoss ever since BW. Yes I do believe PvT has been either 50:50 or 60:40 for Toss in LOTV. PvT has always been okay for toss. But now weâre at the times where I think PvT is 50:50 and there is no good reason to complain about it. The matchup has improved over the 2019 iteration. Its less about tank pushes and more macro lategame orientated and there is a back and forth. PvT is actually quite enjoyable to be honest.
What i would say is that at lower levels F2 Stim bio doesnât work vs Protoss. You get absolutely smashed by disruptors and Storm. Can Terran win lategame vs Toss ? Ofc. Maru showed that Terran has the capability to go toe to toe vs Protoss in lategame. But i would say this, Protoss has been nerfed repeatedly due to Terran whine in the past Iâm afraid. And Terran in TvP is nowhere near as disadvantaged as Protoss is in ZvP. Look at the amount of times Protoss lost a b07 ZvP. Compare that to TvP. We see top Terrans smashing Tosses time to time in a b07, latest being TY 4-0 Stats. Before was Maru beating Stats and Classic by 4-2 in the finals and smashing classic 4-1 and Zest 4-0 and 4-1. Like i highly doubt that TvP is as bad as the TCF thinks it is. And ofc we see dumb stuff like Protoss still OP even though TY 4-0 stats. Like good godâŚ

For example I can take HM seriously, when he was asked why raven is considered weak in other Match ups, by some one in the chat.
HM opened the testing Map, and for 30 min explained the weaknesses of Raven in both tvp and tvz, while showing how the fights typically go.

This. So much this. Even Shia (or maybe it was Peek) admitted when he switched to Protoss that PvZ was a nightmare. PvZ is one of the most unstable and difficult match ups in the game and takes a very very specialized skill set. Even so, we still see the top Protoss professional players look pitiful against the top Zergs. And much of this is due to the nerfs to immortal, warp prism, soul train (see previous nerfs + ravagers), Oracles. Plus many mid/late game nerfs to Collossus, Carriers, HT (they did get one extra FB range⌠for whatever that is worth) , Mothership, etc. But the mid game timing attack nerfs were more significant because that is how Protoss either had a chance to win the game or enter the late game on near equal footing.
