cool changes but any chance we see more buffs to zerg other than overlord speed cost? protoss is getting so many buffs and so is terran. i think maybe buff BL speed a bit?

I’m not. It’s easier to kite a 4.13 move speed unit than it is to kite a 4.5+ speed unit when you have stim bio.

The Protoss has too many manually activated combat-related skills at it is and you want to add 2 more. Adept, Stalker, Sentry, High Templer, Dark Templer, Warp prism, Disruptor, Phoenix, Oracle all have skills that require manual activation and I am not talking about skills that are activated before the engagement like a siege, but skills that need to be activated before the engagement or in the middle of it engagement. How do you expect Protoss to micromanage so many different skills on the different unit’s? Even if we consider standard Protoss ground build we have:

Zealot
Sentry- GS and FF
Archon - none
Immortal
Vision: Observer / Oracle
WP: Warp
Splash: HT / disruptor / Colossus

At the same time, manual activation of Immortal skill would require micromanagement of the skill.

Without charge damage Protoss has no ground army to engage vs mass roaches. They will simply kite limited Protoss army. Adepts and stalkers are trash.

They were able to do that years ago perfectly fine without damage.

So buff them, I’m all for the rest of the gateway units to get some stat buffs.

Yes we were when we had better adepts and immortals, different economy and builds. Now we have 20-30 roaches with lings on minute 6 with 3 hatches. How do you plan to hold this without charge damage? If they low sentry energy for force field to 25 energy and buff adept glaive tree it can be justified. At current state of patch with 4 nerfs in a row…it is overkill.

I don’t know about Adepts (specialist vs. light), even with the bouncing attack they will fare better vs. ling/Hydra but Roaches are material for Zealot/talker/Immortals.

I’m talking about WoL and HOTS, not LOTV.

I’m for buffing gateway unit power(if done right) so Protoss doesn’t have to rely on overly specialized units and storm all the time.

When you say Protoss is getting buffed but the only thing that’s better is carriers can waste your money faster.

They really don’t which has lead to things not being well designed to favor skilled players.

Really the only correct way to engage roaches with zealots are to charge, maybe get a hit or two and then pull back while your immortal(s) are attacking the roaches or queens…and zerg should be kiting the zealots and positioned well enough to not back themselves into a corner or wall…but roaches melt all gateway units except kiting stalkers. So the zerg complains about the immortal strength and WP while protoss could complain our more expensive gateway units all get countered by one zerg unit that costs 75/25 that also kills archons and colossus don’t really do anything against. Of course FF’s and disruptors are dang good against them…

If charge change goes through I imagine against Terran even more stalkers are going to be meta at high level and trickling zealots to tank damage while stalkers shoot will be more meta or ideal. I like flanking WP immortal drops on tanks but have to be careful with that and requires some quick micro on immortals sometimes to target fire tanks. If stargate, you got pheonix lifts on the tanks…(assuming a std tank bio push).

I think adepts could easily get a buff to their base damage their dps is…6.2 against non light…9 with glaives. With 140 (70/70) health…for a unit that costs 125/25…like they could easily lower their bonus dmg to light and buff base damage to atleast give them like 10 dps w/o glaives imo.

I know the balance and design history of all units in SC2 very well and can do pretty much anything in the map editor.

So I don’t mind correcting details about things since knowing how units work and are balanced is something that should be unbiased information to make informed decisions.

Yes, but first NERFF Protoss.

I would buff Voidrays and Adepts in exchange for the Zealot charge nerf. Also I would increase the range of Feedback by +1 so it can counter Fungal and EMP better instead of being so out ranged by them.

That’s BS. All of them in the measure that you will buff (choreographic scam) wont compensate for half the damage that Zealot or FB nerffs dealed separately…

It’s not BS at all, I want to see more composition and unit choices for Protoss. Also the best way to counter mass infestor would be to buff the counter caster in such a way that it does the job better without making it game breaking like it was before.
