It’s a dark and dreary night in Augustgrad. Dominion citizens are knocking on doors asn asking for candy. Be sure you have treats to give them, lest you find yourselves the victims of a deadly trick.

Trick or Treat - Civilians visit your Candy Bowl looking for treats, which are generated by spending minerals. If no treats are available, the civilians randomly transform into enemy units.
Afraid of the Dark - Vision provided by all sources is extremely limited except when in view of your camera.

Notes:

  • Arcturus Mengsk players: [Guide] for how to win this mutation.
  • The visible area seems to be a circle around the center of your screen. You don’t just need to watch your units to get them vision; you also need to center your camera near them.
  • Units also seem [to stop attacking the rocks] when they lose vision, so you might literally need to watch your units kill rocks. Alternatively, you can make buildings near the rocks to at least give your units some vision.
  • There is a trick to make Afraid of the Dark less annoying. Changing [Shaders settings to low] will make the terrain visible in fog of war. The units and buildings inside the dark area is still not visible, but having terrain at least helps navigation.
  • The [Candy Bowl] is a shared unit between the players’ bases. Players can get candy for it for 25 minerals each.
  • Each civilian can take one candy, and the candy bowl can hold up to 50 pieces of candy.
  • Afraid of the Dark does NOT affect Raynor’s scans. You can still absolutely use Orbital Commands for both vision and candy.
  • You can neither put the candy bowl in a control group, nor change its hotkey. However, you can set camera locations to it.

This was a fun one! Because of Darkness, you towers are only useful at home base. So I went with Karax P2 for my first game, and Fenix P2 for my 2nd.
