Co-op Mission Update – February 14th, 2020

As I was raising the 1,000 level, I felt stukov, karax and swann need get buffs. And nova, abathur, zeratul must be nurf. Especially infected bunkers think they deserve to be rolled back.(Upload using a translator)

Boy, you better tell us what changes you plan to make to Alarak before rolling them out. I don’t want you to be screwing up anything about him and making something that was previously fine into a complete pile of trash.

Very frustrating news as a Karax main user.
Karax doesn’t have any issue about durability or tank ability of units. Thank for base spec of ladder protoss units and repair beam.
I know if buffing attack attribute of Karax’s units can be overpower him than other protoss commanders. But, Karax’s main problem is not just matter of cost.
For instance, Zeratul has very expensive units but he has hero and strong units. Abathur has decent units but can be stronger without resource. Phoenix doens’t have repair ability but he has hero and cheap buildings.
But Karax, expensive but just ladder spec units without expensive upgades.
Other commanders put their master points to improve their units, but Karax put points for fabricating his units in “average cost”. Truly ridiculus.
Not only matter of costs, Karax has no competitive ground-to-air attack units. Even air-to-ground is only one option to choose - Carrier - the most expensive unit in protoss.
Karax should cope with almost situations with his good panels, which has strong limitation in energy and cool-time. And their upgrade cost and time are horrible, as we know.
Kevin, I believe you are very good player in co-op missions in sc2. But now I am doubtful that you have enough experience playing Karax as a gamer. “Reinforcing Karax’s Identity” phrase is sounds like nonsense. Karax has repair beam but his identity is a master Phasesmith, not a passive/alliance-dependent support commander. You are making him totally passive and even worse to deal with offensive missions.
Please, consider again and give Karax some cost-efficiency buff(for units or upgrade) or unit reinforcement WITHOUT PENALTY. It’s not overpowered compared to other broken new commanders you had released recently.

Phoenixes are good at Air-to-Ground. Graviton beam can pick up most units in the game, save for Hybrids (for whatever reason, even though you can do it in the campaigns,) and large/heroic units. Maybe if you used them, you’d know this.

Do you even know what Phasesmiths are? They’re Protoss engineers. Structure and mechanical “know-it-alls.” They build and innovate for their race, they aren’t combat specialists. That would be the Templar.

Karax’s graviton beam has no upgrade like Artanis’ (lift two units at once) It’s very inefficient to cope with ground force by phoenix. Like you cannot say energizer is competitive ground-to-air attacker.(Even though energizer has very good ability to counter terran and protoss air forces with special upgrade.)
Phasesmith is engineer. But if you know Swan is also engineer and Stetmann too, engineers surely aren’t combat specialist but their commander abilities and their units are NOT DEFENCE SPECIALIST at all.

You can still pick up problematic ground units. They’re very good against mixed unit compositions, and help on maps like Void Launch. Don’t discount them.

Probably somewhere around 25-27 of February.

My goodness people, why is everyone complaining about a buff to Karax’s unit toughness by going about how it doesn’t help his ramp up time, when it says just above that that they plan on helping that too?!

The talk of buffing toughness is an added thing, not their way to address it!

make CommandCenter to Nova’s Covert Ops DLC Orbital command which doesn’t have a mule, I think Mule is a Raynor’s character so just give him scan and Extra Supply Abilities.

Thor need massive change, Thor suffer from his speed & mass so need to make less collison radius and buff a little more speed, and If it possible, plz change ledder model thor to give a High Impact Payload, Swann has goliath but goliaths are too much fire power losses due to the his missile (I mean that’s not a instant Attacks so goliaths are oftenly shoot a same target) and give a Smart servo upgrade to make Morph fast thor and Hellbat, I oftenly used Hellbat-Cyclone this combi is stable but hellbat’s are always going fall behind Cyclone.

give more Speed or Tactical Jump to match up his Deathball, It’s too slow

Make Purifier Beam more powerfull damage and decrease CD so much.
Purifier Beam is Weakest panel skill I think, It need more buff, And give a Instigator he need cheap anti ground / air units not a Carrier.

Can you also add What Dehaka will gain by eating heroic Units?

Brood lords are a lesser choice for Kerrigan as they can not enter Nydus worms, crippling her army mobility.

And they are not healed nor boosted by her supercreep.

Now, if you would allow her air units to enter the Nydus network…

I think I will go straight to the point… Since Blizzard acts like big daddy and doesn’t really care about player’s opinion, I can say nothing about it. Whatever I comment, no change will be made if you want to modify commanders in whatever way you want. Just hoping that I can play previous or even ancient versions of commanders in custom games.

PS: Don’t trust and buy any new commanders if there is one in the future, since Monk will nerf it afterwards.

Looks like our boy Karax is getting Reforged.

Just watch, like the last update, it would be better if the commanders were simply left untouched. But we can’t have that, so what we get instead is coop getting systematically killed off disguised in the form of revamps.

Buff Battle Carrier Lords. They are comparatively inefficient due to their ramp up time, and cost. For the sake of staying true to the Carrier aspect, locustceptors should be able to attack air.

Please Buff Tempest range too. Capitol ship builds should feel powerful, and to an extent they do, but Stetmann and Artanis capitol ship builds feel lacking.

Swann’s Thors could use a bit of a buff too.

Please give us a clear answers to the following questions:
Will we ever get anymore new maps?
Will we ever get anymore new commanders?

Just remove the unit tax.
it’s by far the most wished for change when it come to Karax. Increased durability alone doesn’t make up for the increased cost, since dps simply matters a lot more, both for clearing, and just when it comes to making a commander feel enjoyable.

When it comes to underutilized units, look at either Phoenix variant, they are simply too weak, and their bonus to light is really niche in coop, they could use a significant boost to their base damage, since unlike Vorazun’s Corsairs, they don’t have Black Hole to make up for their poor damage.
Oh, And let them pick up Hybrids, perhaps with half duration?

Just giving Karax a unit HP and shields mastery is pretty bland. I think something like a unit cooldown mastery would be a lot more enjoyable and encourage active ability usage from Immortals and Energizers… and perhaps Phoenix if they get buffed to a more useful state.

Generally, what would help a lot with making Karax feel faster is to just literally cut 50/50 of all his upgrades. Both his spear and unit research cost a ton of gas which is indeed a big part of making him very slow to ramp up.
Removing the unit tax, and giving such a discount in conjunction would help a lot to make Karax feel fresh with a faster ramp up without significantly increasing his late-game power.

Didn’t monk JUST SAY the team was going to do that?

Is it really bland to give a huge health bonus to units? I mean, nova’s units are hilariously expensive, and don’t do crazy amounts of damage for their cost. Similar story with Zeratul.

I forgot to mention. Please nerf Abathur and Dehaka, many players don’t even expand with them.
