Classic made history, and none even mentioned it!

Congratulations to Classic at winning his second GSL after 11 years, and also congratulations to his fans, protoss fans and everyone else really, it was a fun, amazing GSL finals to watch, with 4 - 3 ending score.
Just awesome!

However, still at this point, I can’t believe, that the GSL casters failed to mention even once, that Classic made history when he picked up that trophy at this year’s GSL!

Of course, I am talking about him being the oldest GSL champion in SC 2 history.

He won this GSL at the age of 33 (34 Korean age)!

Playing top notch SC 2, showing amazing games and awesome skills across the board, in micro/macro, multi tasking, strategy, speed and of course execution.

SC 2 has been out for 15 years now, and the level of skill and games of SC 2 was never this high. And he didn’t play cheesy, or all in style, he beat Rogue in straight up games, this is not only history, this is just Epic, he is definitely a pure legend now, and he deserves all the praise!

So again Classic, we congratulate you again with making history, and thank you for your dedication and love for the game, and giving us these memorable moments!

Please let me know your thoughts and opinions on the finals and how do you believe both Classic and Rogue are going to perform at EWC tournament and how far at least do you think they will go!

Yeah. It’s utterly expected to just a-move zerg with OP ground armies and A-move terran with carriers. It’s impressive if it’s the other way around since protoss is designed to never lose and to just be a race that cheats the game in every way. Cheers.

Also that finals was awful, rogue literally headbutted with tier 1 units all the time hoping it works instead of just going lurker viper corruptor. Not that protoss armies are fair if you do, since disruptors and tempests exist, but it’s still shows matchfixing. Also there was protoss imbalance on display.

Being 34 and a-moving is just as impressive as when a 4.5K protoss programmer did it and beat clem.

I respect your opinion, and protoss is the stronger Race right now, not broken by any means, other wise, we would see protoss complete domination everywhere.

And the score is 4-3!

The matches were very fun in my opinion, I’ve seen one sided GSLs that were boring to watch, you can say anything about this GSL finals, but I don’t believe these games were boring at all.

Now, SC2 was never perfectly balanced. Maybe it will never be perfectly balanced!

We had and era that Zerg for years, when it was completely broken, and some people are dead set that, it just never happened! It was never imbalanced in the favor of zerg, not even for one tournament!

Rogue was very, very close to winning this!

And most importantly it felt that Classic just played a little bit better (not to mention that he didn’t abuse a certain all in, or cheesy play, or broken timing strat that there is no defense to it, he just played Macro, which is so rare in a Bo 7 PvZ)

So maybe let’s stop the whining for a second, and look at some of the facts!

I didn’t watch it, but I did watch the Brood War finals which I enjoyed. ASL 19 tournament in S. Korea obviously.

It is crazy how ASL is still so big and very popular in S. Korea, soon to be 3 decades since BW was launced.

You look like you had some L S D with that overhype

GSL is an empty husk of what it once was, winning at this point doesn’t have the same prestige as before

I agree it is not the same presitge or money, it is pure passion, and the level of play and skill is away above!

Ok, so what should I choose: to be happy as someone who is using L S D, without ever using a drug in their life!

Or being as you, an unhinged hater?

There will always be an asterisk next to classics and heros recent gsl victories considering how bonkers overpowered protoss is right now.
