[Campaign] Sudden Strike Master Archives Reward Inconsistency

Description

This bug occurs in the Master Archives for the Nova Covert Ops Campaign, when you replay mission 2 of pack 1, “Sudden Strike”. If during your normal campaign run you completed the optional objectives for this mission, and then replaying you didn’t complete them, the Master Archives will update to say you didn’t complete the optional objectives. This means that you can no longer use the upgrades you unlocked initially from this mission.

This results in a strange behavior in later missions in the Master Archives. For example, if during your campaign run you had Super Stimpack equipped on marines, it will still equip them on the marines if you replay those missions through the Master Archive, even though it will simultaneously say that you haven’t unlocked the technology.

This behavior in general is inconsistent with other missions in the Nova Covert Ops Master Archives, as well as the other 3 major campaign Master Archives, as typically if on a replay of a mission you fail to complete the optional objectives, you still keep the upgrades you received from when you did it initially.

When you replay the mission and only complete one bonus objective, while failing the other, you still get the failed bonus objective’s upgrade removed.

Difficulty doesn’t seem to have any affect on this bug.

Reproduction Steps

Play the mission “Sudden Strike”, either during a normal campaign run or through the Master Archives, and then complete both optional objectives. Then, from the Master Archives, replay the mission and complete it without achieving one or both optional objectives. It should remove the previously obtained upgrades from your first playthrough in the master archives, just as the bug describes.

Same issue and a fun fact to be told, but this was reported back in 2016 and acknowledged by a blue and then later disappeared from the list of known issues.
