Yea goats prove it a lot… in high ranks, every other rank there was a lot of dps.
OWL change the world a lot, especialy in ranks where people plaing in owl play… wow.
because blizzard only gives nerfs to dva and brig.

the pros usually all use the same things, because they know the meta and this is their job.
change 1 thing and suddenly zerya is 2%, and somebody else becomes 95%.
more heroes, more small tweaks here and there, and we’ll see what happens. next.

I would just keep in mind, the big counter to Zarya is burst damage. When people are playing very low damage / sustain compositions there’s literally no reason not to run her every single match.
Actualy as a former Zarya Main i thought shes fine but lately played Sym more and i cant wrap my Head around that Zarya has the longer Beam and the better Range Attack for doing 15 dps less, so unless you want to use the TP your just better off going with Zarya. Somethings off here.

Zarya is better in some situations, sym is better in others.

btw devs confirmed she does 195dps at max not 180dps.
Also I feel like less range is fine since sym charges her beam to 195dps much much faster, whereas zarya averages 40% energy.
Prevent 3-3 with hard role caps, watch all these ‘problem’ pick rates fall.

yeah but zarya is pretty much a dps, she has lowest tank hp and hardly any ability to tank. also compare syms pharah rocket like secondary fire and primary fire which charges in 3 seconds including on barriers, whereas zarya has to use her cd successfully 3 times
also I think sym needs buffs, but zaryas perfectly fine
Her Low Hp gets balanced out by the fact shes having a tiny Hitbox for a Tank, also Her Tanking abilityis one of the most valuable ones ingame and also unique.

i wouldn’t call it a small hitbox, it’s super easy to hit, especially since her head has really predictable movement. I wouldn’t compare her bubbles, which are good for engagements but really overrated, now compare that to syms turrets and tp, which are really good abilities (both are close to being the best imo)

The Bubbles arent that Strong as they used to be but they are still enough to enable a Rein.
but what’s wrong with them enabling a rein? rein is nearly trash without protection from a zarya and pretty much can’t swing at all.
If they did that then game would be in a far worse state balance wise.
Because she isn’t the one that is enabling Goats and making DPS useless. Like what Brig has done since she was introduced.
because the dev’s aren’t the clueless playerbase and realize context matters
thats because zarya is one the unremovable pieces of goats. lucio being the other one. all others can be replaced.
