Zarya in 8 of 10 games on Dva

one tricking is fine and a non issue, people one trick every hero to gm1 (every hero has been one tricked to 4600 in ow1) and there are even one tricks in OWL, the only people that have problems with it are yall. It would not be that successful or desirable to have a one trick on your team unless they can obviously overcome bad matchups. I one tricked sym 2.0 on ps4 in dive meta against pharmercy 5 stacks like yznsa and fankda. It was disgusting, and I maintained top500, because hard counters are not as hard as you think. People tilting and flaming one tricks isnt actually about the one trick- its about scapegoating, and deciding to not actually understand the game, or stats for that matter (SR, winrates, etc). If you want to parrot what some youtuber who is washed and diamond now says about one tricks, then go ahead. Or you can think for yourself, and climb up to the ranks where the one tricks are. Because they took responsibility for their own mistakes and innovated and overcame. Keep blaming!

as far as dva vs zarya, when I’m one tricking dva atm in qp and comp (around a mid dia level i think) I find they swap to zarya most games, especially in comp. This isnt an issue for me at my rank because I can just avoid the zarya and go for other targets when shes used bubbles, but the problem is mei+ zarya makes it v difficult to outrange her because of mei’s m1, and mei is another hero I cant 1v1 as dva. Still not the end of the world, I can pull point and mess up the other 3 people on their team. The problem then is that my team wants to brawl the zarya, or plays right into what she wants them to do. Then we lose

zarya is just very free on ladder, when people have no concept of pathing or high ground or like. Thinking about why they stand in different places, not even just where. That’s not to mention shooting bubbles, or just defaulting to targeting the zarya all day when there are squishies with no cds behind her
