Your rendering device has been lost, GTX970M

For more than a year I’ve had recurrent crashes due to this error. It happens in all game modes but more frequently in competitive it seems. I’ve tried everything and I cannot figure out what is wrong. I’m posting my DxDiag and MsInfo via Pastebin. Please help Blizzard support…

DxDiag:

MsInfo:

Those links are the full data copied from notepad to pastebin.

I had to put a period before the “pastebin” after “https://” to be able to post my link. So just remove that, thanks.

Your video drivers are hanging/crashing. Also, you have a kernel (CPU) event showing up on the errors, so I’d check the performance of your CPU/clean out all dust in case of overheating.

I have been getting the rendering device lost error since their most recent big patch that reinstalled the game.
My computer is relatively new.
My GPU is running at 60 C
not sure what the problem is. Support had me change the xbox start reg edit to disable them. didnt seem to work.

I do see that you have a BlueScreen error listed; has the entire system also been crashing? If so, you can capture what’s causing it with a free app called BlueScreen grab.

Also, I know this is annoying, but they did release a driver 2 days after the version you have. Before you go back to official support, I highly recommend trying that version. Link here: https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/139907

Hey Skyleaf,

This thread was from nearly a month ago, and your input was not the most helpful. Please keep your feedback constructive and in the General Discussion forums where it can be seen by the Dev team.
