Mei is a better fracking tank than most of the actual tanks
I’m been saved by Mei walls so many times. Literally never been saved by a Hammond

if they want to reduce dps queue times they should focus on making tanks / supports roles feel less like a chore and more rewarding to play
DPS mains feel like they should win any 1v1 with support or tank heroes. They don’t understand that ALL heroes are DPS, just some have larger health pools and more utility.
Might as well try this on experimental mode.
Is this not experimental mode is for? To experiment?
My only problem with this, is they’ll end up ruining the character even more. Somehow every hero they rework in any way just gets worse.
I totally get that the trust is not there.
The problem is agency. Even at low ranks, Ana is very popular because she gets to decide who gets Nano. Dps are popular because a good dps decides who to target and is actually able to carry, all other things (tanks, supports) being equal. It’s much harder to carry the point while holding a shield when your dps are out exploring the map and getting into off-point skirmishes. Bring out the agency in tanks and supports and they will be more popular. That said, long dps queues are mostly a problem at higher ranks. Just push dps SR down to where higher ranks get matched easily and make the lowest ranks wait. That way they have to earn short queue times by climbing as tanks and supports first (and gain some basic game sense at the same time). Lower rank tank and support players would be spared the questionable experience of having to play with the legion of low rank dps players who are absolute muppets.
Totally!!! There is a huge problem there.
