You die instantly if someone puts a bullet in your head

Reaper: gets shot in the head, dies by Widow sniper rifle

Reaper: gets shot in the head a little different, dies by Hanzo bow and arrow

Reaper: shot with 2 missiles, asks Pharah “are you even trying?”

I always love when people argue with realistic points. Because then the whole thread is pointing out all the fictional things in a game. So much fun to read.

You don’t respawn after 10 sec after being dead, this is also basic biology…

I don’t mind headshot / oneshot existing in video games but your explanation is off-track.

We can’t compare real life rules to video games mechanics nor use their similarity to justify gameplay choices. If we would, most games would not make sense and be removed.

Space magic shields go brrrrrrrrr

Well you instantly die if you get shot in a lot of places… So I guess shooting anyone center mass should also do at min 195 damage…

so what you are saying is it should be a thing bc its realistic. but not every game is centered around realism. that being said im not against oneshots in overwatch. i do think it could be toned down a little so healing doesnt feel entirely pointless half the time. but a character like widowmaker should absolutely oneshot ppl. thats her whole schtick.

Getting hit anywhere with a giant rocket hammer would kill ya, too. Should Rein’s melee OHKO?

If overwatch went by this logic, Dva would be beyond busted.

You don’t, actually.
There are a metric crap ton of accounts of people getting shot or taking shrapnel in the head/face and surviving, sometimes even making a full recoveries.

Yes and yellow beams and sprays can heal bullet wounds like they never happened

Introducing a new game mechanics: infection, hemorrhage, concussion. All supports now need a full staff and sterilized equipment. Healing is also not instant and needs days to fully recover… unless you pay to recharge.

Death is permanent.

or if you fall on stairs xD

Incorrect, people have survived direct gunshots to the head

Many people have survived it. It’s basic biology.

They turn into junkrat but they have

the radiation amount she must of gained is probably over 10 million Roentgens

On a scale of sunlight to elephant’s foot, Her mech is probably all four elephant’s feet.

Ma’am, you have a fusion reactor attached to your rear.

For all we know, her mech maybe made of a dense material to absorb that radiation. But the ultimate radiation release. We are talking about a Chernobyl level event

My head cannon is the mech is advanced enough that it shields the radiation just fine.

The bomb should leave a nuclear fallout area when it goes off.

Imagine a short period of time where if you walk into the area the bomb went off that you take damage over time and less healing. Would be cool.

Imagine if the map becomes irradiated for 1000s of years. For all we know, this is why Numbani is out of rotation

Oooh good idea.

Blizzard needs to give a reason like this and then I can accept map pools
