I was a lot more willing to deal with the BS during OV1 because I had friends I played with. Then OV2 was released and most of them haven’t played since season 1. Actually, there is only 1 of my friends I have seen since season 1. The others said eff this I’m out.
Here’s what I do I use coms coms “Overwrite” stupid crap even in vc I hear people go 'Oh had I done this this would of happened" or “if I do this X happens” not knowing I’m there support and I determine if there death happens a lot it gets REALLY annoying.
The way I say my coms I basically say them as a command that can’t be overriden, I’m not “suggesting” anything but Im not being rude about it either “X will happen” “Use terra surge captive sun”
There’s a skill that coms with shot calling but this is basically how I climbed with “Bad teammates” everyone thinks they know what there doing but in reality they reaaally don’t.
you should never accept or say this though.
you should always take blame because its a slippery slope. the moment you start saying “oh well that wasnt MY fault” you become 1 bad day away from just blaming it on everyone else but you.

It’s really hard to agree with you when I’m on a 6 game loose streak, after a 5 game win streak.
For context: I made the mistake of doing support placements in season 1, and landed in Bronze 5, after being Gold in OW1.
Now in season 6 I did placements for Open Queue, and landed in Gold again (I played mostly supports and Rammatra 2 times). Granted, this isn’t definite proof of me being Gold, but it’s definitely unusual.
I played ~200 games in season 6 and ~80% of the games were completely one-sided.
The matchmaking is plain broken to the point of it being pure luck whether you get a competent player, smurf, a onetrick, or a Roadhog player in your match.
And Blizzard is not fixing this, because it won’t earn them any money. JuSt BuY tHe BaTtLepaSs AnD bE hApPy.
Support is a powerful role, but I can’t 1v5 the nano-boosted, mercy-pocketed horse and the rest of the team alone. There’s a reason why Overwatch is a “TEAM-based action game”. If at least one player from your team doesn’t play well, and they don’t have this kind of handicap, YOU LOSE.
I know I’m not the best player, but I’m not asking to be placed in GM Top 500 for fks sake.
You are asking me how it’s possible that you go 5-0 3 times in a row and don’t rank up?
Simple answer, you had a dream that you went 5-0 then woke up and realized that it was a dream and so your rank remains unchanged.
My complaint has never been about MY rank but rather against the rank of the other team. They are always far above my skill level, which leads to pointless games where I have no chance to win. I belong in wood tier, but nobody on the other team does. Ever. I’d rather wait 10 years for a match than be forced to play against people at 100x my skill level every time.
Is there any actual point to this thread besides giving off toxic diamond player energy?

not that shocked by your reply considering your name is smurf after all and can I ask how bored do you have to be or rather what’s just so entertaining about being a troll and doing the same thing everyday.
I’m GM1 tank/dps, why mad?
That’s still out of the individual players control. They didn’t decide to kick the enemy player. This still proves that sometimes there are things out of your control.
But everyone is at the right rank. Mainly because it’s their system you play in. You can argue all you want. Whatever the game shows is your rank.
So a smurf goes to a game below his skill level and wins by shutting down one player completely. Ok, so who decided the outcome of this game? You? Well then everyone on the losing team is justified to put the blame on an external factor - you, a smurf being in their game on the other side. You just proved they are right. Thx for the lesson.
I said energy. Reading comprehension and all that. Thread worthiness still stands.
You have low posts and purposely being antagonistic about a game mode that literally doesn’t mean anything. The only one coming off “mad” here is you.
Masterful bait OP, I respect your commitment to the bit
the thing is that it doesnt matter if its true. a better player would of carried that match which is one of the 2 main points i made.
the other point being that people arnt skilled enough or honest enough to make those decisions.
im going to say this as bluntly as i can, it may or may not upset some people but:
metal rank players are at a “giga ultra trash” level of being bad at overwatch. they know so little about the game that they might as well be in the negative
they cant tell when someone is the reason they lost, they just play the blame game.
so its better for those people for them to just accept the whole blame and work to improve then it is for them to say 'well in this match the junkrat is why we lost and in that match the zarya is the reason why we lost". you cant control what your team does but you can control what you do.
because giving the choice they will blame every loss on someone other then themselves.
you take blame because unless your playing in a high master’s or higher lobby you can easily 1v5 the entire enemy team. the only people that think you cant are bad players, the very same that push blame onto other people.
pushing blame is the lazy players way to making themselves feel better. if you are an average player (metal rank) then you dont need to counter anything because those people are playing the hero wrong anyway. just exist better then they do and you will win
but thats exactly what giving yourself an out is. the average player (as i explained to someone else) is really bad. they arnt skilled enough to understand what actually caused a loss. so they just blame the first person they can think of
thats why so many vod reviews are like “man i did my best but my supports were trash” meanwhile the supports are single handedly keeping this moron alive. they dont know whats going on in a match. they lack the awareness and the skill too analyze it
so what they do is use it as an out. they start blaming EVERY lost match on other people instead of accepting if they played better they would of won those seemingly unwillable matches.
a better player would blame themselves for not being on that smurf’s level and would instead push to improve and eventually climb out so that they are the “smurf” so to speak.
only lazy players blame other people.
if you cant beat a smurf thats entirely on you for sucking.
It really depends on the match. You ever have a match where your whole team leaves? And it’s just you chilling with the enemy team? You want to tell me that even in that situation it’s possible to win?
Also, since when does the truth not matter?
So what rank are players “good”?
those matches are not the same thing as someone saying “x tank threw by not swapping” or “widow couldnt land a shot GG”
obviously if everyone leaves your team and your playing in a rank other then bronze 5 you probably arnt winning.
but even then you could still of played better to prevent them from leaving. people only leave matches when they think they are going to lose and are probably tilted.
so even in this case you could of prevented the loss by playing better.
there is no escape, all losses are your fault. accept it and act on it and you can climb
push blame and play the victim and you end up just that: the victim of your own laziness.
Oh for sure I am the reasom I’m stuck in my rank. That dosent change the fact some of my teammates play like absolute potatoes
But what are you supposed to do when the entire enemy team starts focusing you? I can understand winning a 2v1 or even a 3v1 if you’re really good, but 4v1 and up? Like its not possible.
As someone who puts a lot of effort into pressuring the enemy team, I often get focused hard. Regardless of who I switch to, the enemy still targets me. If my team isn’t (to be blunt) good at the game, we lose the match and I derank.
As someone who is (supposedly, don’t know you’re rank) higher rank, what do you do?
