they are just ult charge for enemy and are struggling against all match ups
long cooldowns, abilities easy to be baited, ults easily countered etc

They know they’re bad. They keep them down on purpose because they’re unfun to play against. Even if you (let’s say sombra) buff her to be viable in the average player’s game, she’s just gonna go right back to trash tier within a month because of how unfun her kit is for the majority.

But this could be said about every character though… they all can be unfun to play against
Doomfist,Genji,Doomfist,Widow even flanking Roadhog (which is more powerful and easy than ever now) are frustrating to play against yet they feel great to play as… (not utterly horrible like the ones i mentioned)

Sombra and Mei are heros who shouldn’t be meta imo, just like hog or Symm. I do agree they should be buffed but they should never be meta.
Although I do agree with D.va, she’s fun when meta and not super oppressive.

Yes it can be said about all heroes but some are just objectively worse and you can’t deny that.
Problem with those heroes is that you have to work twice as hard to play around them than they have to play around you, that’s where the frustration stems from. Similar to what you said.

I have no clue how anyone genuinely still believes they are trying to balance this game. Nah, they just make changes to mix it up and whenever they tried buffing those heroes, the feedback was extremely poor.
Their kits are nasty af , they can never be meta , u buff them even a teensy bit , they become too strong, they are cheesy and works well on certain situations and it’s fine + with hog and ball comp on the rise these days sombra and mei are pretty good against them
Sombra is already up there in strength, and mei and DVA were meta beginning of the year, DVA has been meta for 90% of the games lifespan aswell so?
Just return Sombra’s kit from 2017 and every Sombra main will be happy

1 Stealth on resourses
- max time 6 sec
- speed + 75%
- can contest
- CD between use 1 sec
- CD to start recover stealth time 2 sec
- 1 sec without stealth = + 1,5 sec in stealth
- No collision sound
- If Sombra take less than 10 dmg she will shine a bit but not come out of stealth
- If Sombra is not in direct contact with enemy she will not say her phrase after coming out stealth - enemy will only hear stealth sound
2 Make sound of translocator more quiet
3 Now with TL you can leave Zarya’s and Sigma’s ults
4 Make sound of hacking a health pack more quiet
5 a bit less % from healing
6 add hacks buff from 02.2018
7 Revert hack changes :
- 6 sec duration
- no CD if cast time was broke
- 0.8 sec cast time

They could be meta, they are not easy heroes on practice compared to other characters
Problem is they are meme characters atm
People don’t play her because she’s not that fun for most, no other reason
You got the be kiddin me. Mei was meta just a few months ago. DVA also and Sombra needs to be deleted.
She is unfun / boring because she has low skill abilities which she got with changes 02.2018 and they finally destroyed them 07.2018
She was never really that fun for most people

Sombras fine, she may not be winning games, but she’s incredibly fun. She’s at a point where you can lose 20 games in a row and still have an epic time on her.
With the way the dev’s are handling balance, putting her in the balance teams sights would very likely end very badly for her. Let’s leave her alone.
But for players that played her it was really fun - be okay with timers was her feature which was making her hard character with high reward and it’s why Sombra mains played her
