I climbed from <500 SR to 2700 SR. Might just be dumb luck but you can.
I was 1500 last season, i think 900 sr season low. Iām almost 2400 now but i grinded a ton.
I find that playing 1-3 matches a day is best. If I donāt win my first of the day I usually just go quick play.
Weird i started at the end of august,i casual play, first comp ever im almost gold, stayed in silver since i casual play, this time same thing but better record out the gate of the new season.I never been bronze in compā¦its notthe āsmurfs, throwersā its probably you the player and letting dumb junk like this get to you.
not to mention potato teams! you could have the best game of your life but if the 5 other people on your team are waterheads BAM LOSS and down you go.
I AGREE!!!
I was High-gold last season and climbing quick. I regret NOT finishing out that season, but I had to be away for work. This season I NEARLY crashed to bronze. People keep telling me it is some āconspiracyā and that I just got bad at the game with āget gudā to my face. Yeah I guess try telling THAT to the mass amounts of leavers and throwers in competitive mode this season.
The official response I get is: "We will ban these players and make sure they do not disrupt the game again".
Meanwhile: The Banned player BUYS another Overwatch account DURING the blizzard seasonal sale, levels up some, plays their placement matches really well and then when it comes to actual gameplay. They play a match, get killed once in the match and they rage quit, leave the game and They get banned again. Rinse and repeat.
Meanwhile my account, the same account I play on since Day 1, that I play every day for 4-6 hours depending upon how bad the games are for that day (throwers, no-rankers, and the pile of new accounts that MMR system throws into my game skews this number).
While the player that just got banned⦠is unloading some cash that they stole off their motherās credit card onto ANOTHER Blizzard game account, is back on Overwatch 2 hours later. Doing the SAME thing.
Predicting the Blizzard āmachineā: The solution they want will be a PHOTO ID per account, yet they just wont bother to solve the issue of capping the level to which a person CAN play Competitive mode at. Because the Smurffs revolt and state "We dont want to spend 100 hours leveling up, just so we can play competitive mode.
The bottom line is, there is NOT going to be a game here much longer if players donāt stop taking advantage of one another. There will be NO competitive que times that are āreasonableā and overwatch league will have meant NOTHING. a person stops and take a Look at H1-Z1. the FIRST pioneers of Battle Royale style of gameplay. They SHUT down. Thatās right their community had the SAME attitude of taking advantage of one another. it was a game ahead of itās time and USHERED in a new Genre which birthed PUBG, FORTNITE and guess what⦠H1Z1 just pulled the plug on their first servers in October.
Never been in anything lower than plat but i assume the lower ranks are pretty similar because plat players are both bad and have no game sense.
You canāt see the SR system as a āladder to climbā. Itās more of a tool to make balanced matches.
Also, I had an account I was practicing Ana on. It was bronze. I got it out of bronze relatively easily when I got better with Ana.
It is easy to climb out of ranks you are better than. If you are unable to climb out of gold for example, the simplest and most likely reason why is you are gold. I donāt mean to hit with a git gud⦠But smurfs aināt why you arenāt climbing.
A gold player can stomp bronze elo btw⦠I mean I got out when I started the game and got hardstuck in gold so I was 100% a goldie back then.
Reads title
Yes, you can.
Im implore anyone gold and under get to <500 and try to climb out now. You wont. Its legit a Plat or high group of smurfs or smurf every game. And at night its even worse. I quit carring about my rating and most smurfs have me on avoid to reck me for some reason. If Im stuck here next season im just cutting all ties with this game and moving to something better. I made a alt account to see what I would get and I got gold. and have been hovering but I dont have my skins. So⦠it s not worth it to play on. Just learning to aim better on my main account.
I climbed out of bronze into plat so it is possible but it takes a long time and it is not fun. It gets better as you rank up but there are still people doing those bad things or stupid things. Especially when there is a 5 stack.
There is also the the decay thing you have to worry about so you will have to babysit the game later on.
Just say that you are done with the game and got your money worth if you are not happy. A lot of people have.
Omg playing reaper or doomfist in bronze is like playing a hack and slash game on easy with a level 99 decked out character.
If itās affecting your mental health, you gotta let go bro
health > some stupid rank
Go Moira or Brig, no question you will get out. They are both broken heroes, Tracer and/or Pharah will get you out easily too.
yea bronze elo is pure hell⦠you are fighting deranked smurfs who wanna stomp low skilled people and thrower who dont careā¦
diamond is also a cesspool for smurfs⦠iām watching a GM and he cannot get out of diamond on his smurf for 3 days by nowā¦
this game is going downā¦
Bronze is an interesting place because you canāt just be pretty good to escape. You have to be very good. Good enough to solo a team of 6 with minimal help from your team. Itās a true test of skill.
Itās not. In the lower tiers a small increase in mechanics has very immediate results. Gold/plat is more about maintaining consistency during the grind.
See I donāt know if this is true. I climbed out of bronze after being stuck there for a year, and I donāt feel that I am very good. I feel like I am plat at best, so average to maybe slightly above average. Iām 40, my reflexes arenāt so good anymore, and so I donāt ever expect to reach Masters or GM.
But I did start out in bronze, and now I have one account in gold (the one that started at 800 SR and stayed in bronze for almost a year) and another in plat. I donāt think Iām āvery goodā, I think Iām just not bronze.
