YES They (Blizzard) do Listen 2.0 - MEGA THREAD

Would you rather play OW how it is now or how it was over a year or so ago?

Its more of a priority of what people need and want. I want an ana buff because I have a lot of fun playing ana and many people like me do too but heroes like sym, torb need a rework more than her. Its natural for me to be mad at blizzard because they will never take care of ana until every other rework is done and finished.

Worse they don’t hint at what they are going to do so maybe they even consider ana as balanced. The lot of hidden information in the back of the devs head and their skinner box style response and read system seems to make them look like cold and calculative people but no human can read through tons of threads so people will still show hate as long as their plans are hidden.

Honestly, that’s hard to say. If it were back with season 2 Mei, probably that. But that had an issue where Mei had an ult or two every team fight.
Plus it could be a thing of rose shaded glasses, since the game was still brand new and shiny. I don’t have the best answer to that question.

If they do really listen then why hasn’t Reinhardt, been looked at he needs fix, and buff hope it comes next!

Any of you guys play TF2?

After 10 whole freaking years:

Trollgineers still exist
The skybox is still easily breached
Spawn doors STILL get stuck
The whole Soldier class is still OPAF
Tons of unintended locations where you can perch on
Backstab registration is still ridiculous
Facestab is still a thing
Competitive 6s meta has NEVER changed by one bit
Comics are released on 800-day intervals or so
Loch and Load model has been outdated for a good 4 year or so
Took them 3 years (?) to balance the sandvich
Took them 5 years to balance the loch and load
Took them 2 years to ship the pyro v heavy update
Took them 4 years to listen to community feedback and do the exact freakin opposite (buffed phlogistinator)
About 6 of the 9 classes have a “meta” loadout that is arguably better than any other loadout in 80% of the scenarios

Random crits is STILL A THING

We’re being spoilt. We just don’t realize it.

I enjoy playing Mei. I don’t get to play her much because people get weird when you try to use her as an off tank even though she fits as a hybrid tank / dps. I wish she was better understood and more viable.

But people will freak out if she ever becomes meta and scream on the forums until they kill her. I wish that wasn’t true, but people can’t handle the idea of her being good. :slightly_frowning_face:

Yeah, Mei is just in a weird spot of “Picking Mei is throwing” and “Nerf Mei” with no clear middle ground to it.

Ana has been utter trash since season 5, you could make that argument for every character.
I would hope they come back to Mei, considering she’s never really had any time to shine, doesn’t excuse that she’s been garbage since tank meta.
Have they said anything about Bastion? I would certainly love to know.
I don’t get what you mean by night and day, he’s still garbage considering he needs to use cooldowns to engage, which leaves him completely vulnerable to everyone, with his hitboxes, along with possibly missing a kill due to bugs.
He doesn’t need to be nerfed further then ult charge, he’s not busted at all and excels at his niche, which is a good thing.
I wish they would revert it, but Blizzard still decided to make it easy to use, even though that was the hardest thing in his kit, which rewarding practice.
Mercy was never busted before the rework, she wasn’t a must pick and people only complained because it was unfun, an easy solution was to add nerfs or changes, not a random rework.
Doesn’t change the fact it took over a year to do it, and it isn’t even that big of a fix to take that much time.
I’ve never seen one player or thread complain about pulse bomb, it was only being one clipped or how she had so many get out of jail free cards.
Saying they will work on him is not a valid argument, you could use that for anyone as a scapegoat, eventually they will, I bet that, but it doesn’t change the fact he’s been powercreeped and left in the dust by spam and CC
Reaper is in a weird spot, he can work as a flanker or tank buster, armor still screws him over and shadow step is trash.
And for the love of god please help Lucio, every new character has deleted his existence, along with buffs.

The next thing I want for Mei is for her ice block to reload her gun.

I don’t think that’s it. But to go into that would derail this thread more than already has been done.

A problem that could have been avoided ENTIRELY if they listened to feedback. The rework turned Mercy into a skill-less, soulless monster, but they’d rather tout it as a ‘success’ and throw away every Mercy player’s opinions in the megathread trashbin. nearing 100,000 posts ignored without a single word. I feel so appreciated. ._.

Yeah, after nearly 6 months of people posting videos and lists of all his glitches and whatnot.

Again, after how long? Over 2 years of leaving Symmetra like this?

It’s fine to make a list like this. But there are still MANY wide, glaring issues with how the devs respond to feedback.

I do trust blizzard is getting back on track with the players instead of OWL, and it’s good, I’m glad they are finally paying attention to the “troll picks”, it just sucks that they take such a long time to do it, which can’t really blame them, it must be hard.

This a good post. The devs get crap for seemingly no reason. People yell at them and whatnot and say that they don’t listen, when they clearly do.

Sure, some of the things they do are…questionable. Sure, there are characters who need help. But the devs are listening to us and making changes accordingly.

I’m sure they’ll get to the characters in need in due time, but until then, please, can we let them do their jobs?

Just throwing my 2 cents here. The Overwatch team over the past several years has been absolutely fantastic. Perfect? No, several times I have been upset here and there.

Generally they have proven to listen and I look forward to see what they bring next.

Thank you. Yes the devs listen. The ppl that say they don’t are probably suggesting ideas that the devs deem are not healthy for the games, or are impatient. These changes take a long time and a lot of work. They’re looking at what we say, and they’re judging our suggestions whether they are applicable or not.

Probably read my post above, mate. The unit for waiting in Overwatch is usually by weeks or months.

The unit for waiting in TF2 is years, easy. Not even “year”. They never get things done in that short a period of time.

OW devs are performing great in comparison. There are still shortfalls, and sometimes you just think “devs, WHY?”, but remember in TF2, there are possibly tons of similar cases which are not rectified in the end.

we’ll see how you’ll “Enjoy” the clustered briggete triple support meta in the near future.

At least with dive, you had to face skillful opponents for them to be difficult to deal with.

Now, with this upcoming patch, You’ll all suffer greatly. And the worst part, is that it won’t even remotely be as hard to pull off.

I only ran into dive maybe a couple of times in comp, due to it being somewhat hard to pull off successfully, but Brigitte Reinhardt stuff will probably be very popular due to the skill floors of them.

yes, and this time they broke the 1% pick rate in gold.

1.04%

How does a hero get so badly balanced that 2 buffs can only get them that far?

MW2 would have never been like that if it wasn’t for a majority of IW being fired. That’s not an excuse.
