He’s too easy to use, gets too much value for simply existing, and gets picked way too frequently. The only people that have fun when a Hog is on the team is the Hog player. Poorly designed hero, needs to be gone.

…this isn’t my experience with hog or hog players at all.
He normally ends up being a flanking bullet sponge who’s not being much if a threat.
If you have one against you that’s an issue you can try countering with stuns or cc. Just avoid edges.

If Roadhog goes, he should take widowmaker, hanzo, doomfist with him. He’s literally an ult charge because of lack of shields. Every one shot hero has a weakness.

gonna be honest: i’m not much a fan of having a hog on my team but hog players tend to be some of the sweetest people i’ve met (both in vc and in game). i don’t know if i’ve just been lucky, but that’s my experience at least!

If Blizzard does this, Overwatch would instantly become 100x less toxic and more enjoyable. One shot heroes have absolutely no place in OW1, and double that for OW2.

One big reason why everyone plays Hog is similar to the reason why everyone plays dps. Simply put, playing main tank is not fun.
Maybe if the Blizzard team was actually competent at balancing their video game, then maybe Hog would be played less.

i cant play hog at all, it seems like the angle the hook pulls the enemy towards me is always random and trying to get a hook in the first place. i can’t aim when i don’t know where they’re going to be pulled to so i know if to look a little up or down or the sides
his rc takes major skill to use and can do massive damage at range, even though its worse now with the “bugfix” a long while back that gave it damage falloff
I play a lot of Hog personnally and I’ll be genuine, if you don’t do the hooks and don’t get the important kills, you’re honestly an ult battery by just simply existing for others.
Idk what you play or at what rank, but maybe it has to do with what you play that gets heavily outplayed by Hog naturally.
Learn how to bait hook, that’s likely all I gottta say. I personally think that if I need my ult, Hog’s priority check for that in my games, it’s too easy to farm the character for most heroes.
So either he single handedly wins the game, or single handedly loses it? Sounds like a super balanced character.

Forget about it dude. People on this forum are so deluded, they’ll defend Roadhog until they’re blue in the face. People actually think a 900HP instant kill machine is balanced or even needs buffs. Something so obscenely overpowered shouldn’t exist, but people insist he’s not a problem.

dodge hook? people defend roadhog because he has to land his hook and do a combo to kill you and you have the ability to avoid him, he is not widowmaker, he cannot stand on the other side of the map and hook you, there is counterplay no matter who you’re playing

Not instant, has counterplay, 8 second timer.
If forum hog existed in game this would be true… but he doesn’t.
His heal can be interrupted or simply denied and his combo is far from instant like say… widowmaker.
If people could present actual cases where he is imbalanced or overpowered WITHOUT resorting to forum hog quotes there could be some discussion, but most reasonable people seem to be OK with him even if they don’t like how he works.
Just because people play him wrong and it’s annoying to deal with, doesn’t make him imbalanced.
