Wuyang ult slam should be an interactable

please, make it so that people that get the ult can time it right by having a button to press to activate the slam. let it scale like orisa ult so that it’s potency increases.

getting the ult feels very awkward most of the time. either it takes too long to trigger on time or it’s just throwing you off during gameplay. kinda like lifeweaver pull.

giving the ult to someone else is also a waste if they can’t use it proactively or their timing isn’t right.

that’s why the best bet is to just use it on yourself but that kinda defeats it’s initial purpose, right?

It’s a support ult. If you want to get guaranteed value out of it, use it to save someone. Wuyang is strong enough as is.

it’s not about buffing him. it’s about making him and having him on your team more intuitive to play.

I don’t think it needs to be interactive. I would like a clearer indicator that 1. you got the ult and 2. a timer showing how long until slam. I actually find the blue glow really hard to tell. Maybe I’m just not used to it yet? But, nano for instance is much more obvious when you have it.

Also, as far as I’m aware, there are no voicelines indicating to you or the enemy when you get the ult. Nano has unique voicelines for every hero when they receive it, so you know without even looking.

They could also just use a sound cue… for instance, after the ult is applied to you, there is a sound that starts low and slowly increases in pitch up to a certain point when the slam occurs.

Not unlike how many heroes have a sound cue where their weapons primary fire starts to make a different sound as you reach the end of the magazine.

I will just take not guaranteed value, thank you very much.

Allowing the player to chose when the ult goes off is a buff. You need to learn that timing (which isn’t very hard, given that there are several audio/visual indicators) in order to use it properly.

The real difficulty in Wuyangs ult is finding the most important targets and hoping to get as many worthy targets down as possible. Going for Tanks is rarely useful because of their high HP, but targeting a support can swing the fight in your favor.

Already there.

It can be used defensively as well as offensively.

Using it on a Tank, is a lot like using Nanoboost on a Tank or Damage-boost on Winston. It’s guaranteed value or nearly. Because the effort required to make it work isn’t quite as heavy as making Dragonblade work, nor as specific as dumping it on Hanzo as he’s casting Dragonstrike.

If you guys really want some basic tips on how to make the ultimate really work, try this:

  • Cast it on the Rip-Tire.
  • Use it during Dragonblade
  • Less useful, but still powerful on Pharah during her ultimate
  • Use it on BOB before he stops running
  • Use it on Primal Rage.
  • Or stick in on Tracer when she wants to use her Pulse Bomb.

I was more so referring to pushing the enemy tank down with it. They have a lot more HP than squishies, so you’re more than likely not going to have enough time to kill them. Going for an enemy support or DPS is going to yield better results, since you can kill them way quicker.

For something so strong there needs to be telegraphing, which honestly there isn’t enough of. Removing telegraphing for the best ult in the game is a little silly
