Even after everything, you still can’t stop insulting people.
Sometimes, you need to step back and look at what you said instead of how people respond. D.Va also has 600 health, and you hadn’t said anything about that, so I assumed that you were talking about the shielding. Other people in this thread have thought the same thing. All you have to do is clarify yourself, there’s no need to blame somebody’s reading comprehension because we didn’t understand the slighty confusing way you worded this statement. From the way you responded, we can assume you weren’t in the right mindset for this.
I think all he needs right now is a bigger magazine size. He’s clearly intended to Piledrive, hit barrier, deal and soak as much damage as possible and get out to do it over again if the fight isn’t won.
Yes! You articulated this much better than Past Me did. Present Me is reading my post and thinking “damn, that’s wordy”
Maybe it’s supposed to be the Tank version of Pulse Bomb, or one of those at-will usage ults like Whole Hog or Coalescence where the job of the hero is reinforced by a disposable but useful Ultimate
I agree here… his ultimate is not “Trash” it does what it needs to IF WB also knocks people into it, and at the very least it slows people down… very effective.
People who think he is a throw pick just don’t know how to play him. He is one of a handful of high skill floor heroes in the game, not everyone will be able to play him effectively. The only true throw pick in the game is Sombra, but that’s an entirely different conversation.
I agreed with the “Hammond throw pick” idea for awhile, but after having a friend pocket heal me for a few hours so I could get really used to his strengths and cooldowns and all that I have gone from low plat back up to mid Diamond. Hammond is really powerful. I think he could use a few quality of life buffs and changes though. The one I notice a lot is if you are tethered and Rein is attacking you there is this weird stutter affect where you can’t get up to speed because he’s like mini-stunning your movement for .1 seconds. It’s really annoying.
Also I would say that I’ve been having the most success with him when I use his shield as an escape tool NOT as a “stand here and soak damage and then run”. Just shield after piledrive and get the heck out of there. You’ll soak damage as you run AND it won’t feed them ult charge.
Watch a game of contenders. Sombra is OP with her ability to set up perfect engagements and how she can single-handedly locate every member on the enemy team without fail. People only see her as trash because she is one of the only heroes that can only be used effectively in a team environment, which doesn’t happen often in ranked. If people play her more like a scout for a team instead of an assasin, it becomes a whole different story.
Yes I understand that, but it has a more adverse effect on Hammond’s movement because of the buggy interaction between them. Sometimes trying to roll away doesn’t work because Hammond kind of bunny hops as he’s being hit by Rein, which makes him lose momentum and have to start again. It’s just weird as all hell.
His damage should not get a buff. Otherwise well have another hypermobile high damage hero in the game like Doom and Hanzo.
The hero is a nuisance to play vs and I hope he stays niche in being used to chase heroes like Widow. If Hammond gets Dva levels of dps he will be broken and need a cooldown on his transform.
there is a combo with the bombs and pile driver. Just swing in, then piledrive and press bombs immediately. They would activate just as the players get their mobility back
