Wow! They actually removed Mei's falloff damage on PTR!

Thank god, they actually gave her a buff that means something.

All her previous minor adjustments didn’t do anything for her, a slightly more reliable freeze means next-to-nothing when the entire Damage roster + 80% of the Healer and Tank roster have a higher average damage output per 10 mins, and Mei having one of the worst E:D Ratios in the game.

The thing Mei always needed was some kind of reliable damage source, her primary does F-all, and her secondary is a skillshot that, prior to this change, had ridiculous fall-off.

Her utility has always been decent but it was never enough to replace raw damage which every other hero could provide a lot more of.

This won’t make her OP, it won’t make her a must pick but it might make her an actual viable choice in the damage slot rather than her only use being a last minute panic swap to cryo on the point.

how have they destroyed sombra beyond repair? she could use the extra bit of stealth. shes not great due to the need to be closer to do damage

made no sense for her secondary to ever have fall off…it requires skill to actually use properly as the delay fire and travel time meant enemy could easily avoid it unless caught offguard.

About time Blizzard did something right. The projectile shot that takes skill to aim AND has falloff damage is just too punishing for any player. It was fine close range but imaging you were skillful enough to headshot a pharah or widow all the way across the map only to find out you did little to no damage. It was very unrewarding for skillful players. I also wouldn’t mind making the falloff damage less punishing but hey, taking it off completely works well as well in her pickrate.
