People miss the kit coherence and feel and versatility of Sym 2.0 compared to 3.0’s ‘‘taxibot in 2 maps if you dont want a report’’ focused gameplay, which in turn means many people think there is something magical about the support label that will turn Sym into a viable hero with agency again if you only slap 10 hps somewhere in her kit no matter the cost, despite Sym 2.0 being closer to a DPS than to a support. Closer to Torb, Mei and Sombra than to Mercy, despite what some Mercy mains might say.
Couple that with her story with Zen that mentions the color gold a couple of times, which ‘‘obviously’’ hinted at a ‘‘fitting’’ healer support role rework for Sym for some… reason… despite being the patient and not the healer of the story.
Basically, misplaced and misunderstood nostalgia and some next level mental gymnastics.
