Match plays a minimum of four maps. A fifth map is played if the match is tied at the end of the forth map.
The initial Control Map is predetemined in advance by the tournament. Second Map is Hybrid. Third Map is Assault. Fourth Map is Escort. Fifth (tiebreaker) Map is Control.
In succeeding maps, the losing team of the previous map selects the map. Winning team selects the side.
All maps currently available in Overwatch is eligible to select from.
Well to give you an idea of what sort of match we have here, we have San Francisco Shock feat. Hydration and Muma vs. Brazil Gaming House (who won South America Contenders 2018 Season 2).
Jayne warning team USA to take Brazil seriously. With the way their players are performing, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them signed by expansion teams-- if not current teams.

i think brazil shouldnt be underrated because they have a tonne of talent i just think the US are better, and i know what you mean i think the US will win the US vs Canada match on the last day however if Space was from Canada i think they would win he is awesome on everything he plays
Yeah. We put a lot of emphasis on the players we see everyday-- streamers-- that it seems to be the same within the league. I can definitely see someone from Brazil being offered a spot in OWL later though just due to the fact that they do have the capacity to compete.
I hope not, I’m rooting for Canada-- but then again, it wouldn’t break my heart if USA won. I love both of the teams and their roster.
