And how often does that happen?
Not very often. And that is the only example, so most of the time it isn’t that bad.
Considering this acc isn’t even lvl 25, you’re being ignorant then. My main has 36 hours, my first smurf 89 hours, second smurf 13 hours, third smurf 111 hours. More than you, the ever opinionated sombra “main”
“Buffs”
20charachtev yf
feels like random number written to get a "pseudo advantage’ in this debate.
I’m sorry you expect me to care about your opinion. I don’t have a reason to lie to a random person who’s opinion i don’t value.
My smurf account is a T500 sombra main with 422.5 hours
Get rekt.
Personally, I feel that the two second cooldown is basically inconsequential. It’s only two seconds. GA isn’t that far off with a 1.5 second cooldown, yet I’ve seen threads where people treat that like it’s the best mobility in the game and that Mercy always has it even if you think she doesn’t. So really, the two second cooldown is sort of a non-issue. I think they just implemented that so that it punishes Sombras for just spamming hack until they get one off. It encourages you to go for hacks when the enemy is unaware of your presence.
Honestly, the only complaints I have for Sombra right now is her speed when invis. She feels sluggish now, and even when I see someone else on my team playing Sombra, she looks slow. I don’t really see why they nerfed the movement speed because her cloaked speed was never a problem to begin with. That is about my only complaint with her, though. She really isn’t meant to do damage. She’s meant to enable the rest of her team by hacking key targets (like any of the tanks and other heroes that rely heavily on their abilities like Doomfist and Tracer) and then leaving them vulnerable for her team to focus on.
Sure, they could buff her damage a bit so she could have more of a presence in the midfight. Because as it stands right now, she only really has use either before or when the fight starts. In terms of damage, her main job is cleaning up low health heroes. If she can get the jump on someone, then she has a chance to 1v1 them (snipers and supports especially if she can get close to them). She just has to make sure her shots hit, and the spread decrease they gave her recently I think helps with that.
Honestly, her rework was just meant to discourage safehousing as a playstyle and encouraging a more proactive playstyle with her. That was what her rework accomplished.
Also:
From my experience, when people start pulling out their smurfs, people aren’t going to believe it until you post a link to your accounts. That, or they start wondering why you have so many smurfs.
The difference is that you don’t choose Mercy for GA. YOu choose Sombra for Hack. Sombra’s issue is she can’t do anything when a fight starts, only before… So she has a ton of downtime where she simply can’t contribute anything.
That’s sad/pathetic.
Sombra main with over 300+ hours. Hack is easily one of the best move sin the game. If you cannot reliably get off hacks because you’re taking damage it means you’re positioned poorly. If you think the actual value you get from it is not worthwhile then you or your team are not properly communicating and following up on it.
I play on console, they’re free.
I dunno, I guess it’s just how I play Sombra. Like, when I first picked her up, I maybe did the whole strat where you put her translocator on a health pack and use that as your escape when you get caught for maybe the first 5-10 hours?? Since then, though, her playstyle came kinda naturally to me and I’ve always played her proactively. Since they put in the 2-sec cooldown on Hack, I’ve never really been bothered by it. Whenever I would get interrupted during Hack, the cooldown was not really a problem.
Maybe it’s one of those things that depends on your own experience? I’ve just never had a problem with that change. The only change to Sombra that I am having trouble adjusting to is the stealth speed. I can make do with everything else.
That’s my point. I can pull random numbers out of my butt too. I can say I have alternate accounts too.
I can get Hack off, but there’s nothing incredibly strong about it. It puts a hero’s abilities on cooldown for 6 seconds. Flashbang puts the entire hero on cooldown for 10 seconds, minimum.
No, no it doesnt. Almost every secondary cooldown has a chance to miss. Flashbang, helix rocket, sleep dart, hook, and the list goes on. When you miss, you lose your cooldown for the entire length of it. Hack was VERY GENEROUSLY given a much lower cooldown due to your failure, yet here we are…listening to how unreasonable a CD of 1/4 of the time of your actual CD is on a skill which cant miss, because you might get interrupted.
How about this:
Flashbang lasts 1 second. You’re such a joke dude honestly.
Flashbang lasts .7 seconds. It is also almost a guaranteed kill. 8-10 seconds of respawn with however long it takes to get back to the fight from spawn. The joke here is you.
The effectiveness of flashbang depends who you’re up against. Flashbang is pretty weak versus many heroes because you don’t always have the ability to close the gap. Certain heroes like Reinhardt require you to throw a flashbang directly above which is basically within his melee range to get off, and is a 1 second window to kill him. Sombra can disable his shield and expose his entire team for 6 seconds from 15m away behind him because she has better mobility and accessibility throughout the map.
You have to stop thinking about hack as this 1v1 mechanic like how McCree uses flashbang. They are two different abilities for two different purposes. There seems to be a very strong misconception that all Sombra’s hack does is “put her on an equal playing field with the other guy.” Try to be more creative with its use.
