A widow can only do what you allow her to do, same with any other character. Think, what can I do to stop her from doing damage? I could even list them out if you want me to. If your entire team is getting held hostage by a widow, then obviously your team isn’t doing something right.
If you REALLY think that minimizing the amount of one shots against widow is the ONLY thing you can do, then you just don’t play the characters or even attempt to counter widow I say, if you’re going to have that mindset.
A SMART Winston can kill Widow by himself. If he’s always engaging with leap and then she just hooks away, Winston has to find a way around that obviously, it isn’t just “ShE’s ToO oVeRpoWErEd” man. Also Support and Dps can do something against Widow, they aren’t just useless against her and if you think so, then they aren’t doing it right.
I’ve already talked about the Winston part, but it isn’t just Widowmaker then, it’s the mercy too. If you just target Widow, you aren’t dealing with the constant 55/60 hps she’s getting, unless you one shot her.
There’s a difference if I’m able to counter a smurf widow v.s. other people countering a smurf widow, they might possibly be doing something wrong/going about it the wrong way.
