I mean, I know she’s evil, but I didn’t think she’s THAT EVIL! D: (Wouldn’t be surpeised of her fanbase went down. Lol XD )

• The voicelines are not always Canon.
• What if there are good reasons for it? What if she likes French pastries better than American cookies, because she’s French (just like most of the heroes are not from the USA and it’s absolutely stupid to think that all heroes have American customs)? Maybe she has some kind of allergy and is reacting to an ingredient? She may have had bad experiences with cookies because she may have eaten one with weed or other drugs without knowing about it?
  Perhaps Talon’s experiments led to a slowed metabolism and something sweet like that would overstrain her body in its current state?
  There are many reasons for this and you shouldn’t judge someone by whether they like a pastry or not.

[… as long as Widow cannot detach herself from Talon, such trauma will not be treated, as long as it does not affect her ability to do her job. Such trauma can also have been caused by an allergic reaction.
Perhaps this will also bring back memories of Gerard that would hurt too much.

to 3. I read a lot of fanfiction about Widow and it is very often that she does not have to eat for days and often her food under Talon is nothing more than odor and tasteless nutrient paste.

Sugar causes happiness hormones to be released and Talon probably doesn’t want this to happen unless there is a successful elimination.

Maybe she just doesn’t like anything sweet because she doesn’t like it, or maybe she has a sweet tooth, but wants to keep it a secret from others because it would damage her reputation and Talon would recondition her.
Don’t forget: for Talon she is not a person, just an experminent, a weapon that shouldn’t have any emotions and when she becomes a bit more human again and can feel emotions she will do everything to keep it a secret from Talon so that it is not taken from her again.

And she is not evil. She was kidnapped, reconditioned / brainwashed by Talon. got the job programmed by talon to kill her own husband.
Talon is evil and for Talon she is only a tool, a mindless weapon and only carries out thier orders.
I hope that she get her redemption story.
Kerrigan has such a story, Sylvanas is apparently going to get such a story and I hope this trend continues for Amêlie / Widow. Nobody deserves to be tortured, to be forced to kill their spouse, or to be ravaged by experiments with their humanity etc.

The world (including that of Overwatch) is not black and white, there are many shades of gray in between. every hero in overwatch will have more or less blood and dirt on his hands. I guess Soldier 76 has more blood on his hands than Widow. Take a look at the cinematics. Apart from Mondatta, there is no definite kill from Widow. All security guards in Kings Row are seriously injured and mostly unconscious but not lethal injured. the only one she shoots at (and who can be seen) gets hit in the chest and wears a bulletproof vest.
