yeah she can feel strong because most heroes cant do anything against her and you are forced to go monke to counter a single hero is just not healthy for the game.

I’ve been leaving every single game against widow for nearly 2 years now. It has made OW so much more enjoyable even when it means leaving 3 out of 4 games some days. Queueing flex means I still get a game quicker than if I queued DPS.
Since I started being a support I’ve really appreciated how much 1-shots ruin this game and particularly ruin the fun of playing support and making you useless to help your teammates.

If you think widowmaker is OP just play her couple of games. You will easy lern how to counter her in your own skin.

This is a terrible reason for forming any opinions.
You can’t just go around telling everyone your world view isn’t based in reality but you form opinions out of spite. This isn’t the senate.
In fact it sort of invalidates anything coherent you might have to add. I would edit it out and not mention it in any further conversations.

It’s not that Widow is OP. She isn’t. (Though her HP should be reduced. Her defence is her range.)
It’s that no one likes to be one shot for the reason tanks don’t like Hard CC.
And it’s amazing to me that one is seen as acceptable and the other isn’t.
Being one shot by any character removes your ability to react or defend yourself and that isn’t fun. If you get hard CCed, it’s the same thing you are defenseless while people kill you and you can’t react.
They removed most instances of hard CC but fail to realise that one shots and one shot combos give players the same feeling.
But it’s ignored because it looks good in OWL
doesn’t oneshot anymore. I think they removed that a few years ago
Widow isn’t OP
She’s useless besides her ability to one shot and that’s assuming the enemy widow has good aim. She’s also super easy to counter with a dive tank or a good flanker.
She can’t really defend herself against anyone if they get too close
Her escape tool is also weak compared to other characters.
She isn’t like Sojourn who has a loaded kit and one shot
Or even hanzo who can one shot by just randomly shooting arrows

She can be a pain, but if your team plays smartly with cover, corners and diving her when appropriate she is not bad. If you are on a team that isn’t addressing the Widow, she can definitely feel oppressively good.
After six years there are still people who think widowmaker is OP, in a game where barriers and movementabilities exist.

i thought she would get nerfed but i guess her performance and statistics are not that GOOD yet. i mean we had genji, zarya, sombra, d.va, koriko? and junker queen nerfed so far with the updated overwatch 2.
of course there are a lot of people who cant deal with her and give her no respect, probably are use to widow missing all the time and when there is one who can aim they are pleasantly surprised lol
