Body shot one shots. Is it rocket science really?
How much impact do you think bullet sway has? Bullet sway body shot is a joke. Same with bullet drop.
Longer wind up? No. Quick scoping is a thing in most other fps, OW has well above average wind up.
Widow has recoil.
Have you never played a sniper in a game or are you just meming?
Edit: Didn’t realize username disregard. Never seen you engage in a good faith argument. Won’t waste my time here.
OP is right.
I’ve been playing online fps games for almost 20 years and have put in a combined 5000+ hours into them throughout that time. It’s always the same story. As long as they can aim at least decently (and this is not hard), snipers are the best archetype.
Then there’s the fact they are overplayed (in every game). I think I see Widow in around 3/4 of all my games, often on both teams. If you go play another game like Battlefield/front or Call of Doody, it’s fairly common to see 30-40% of the server sitting far away from the fight with their feet up sniping.
Unless they are specifically controlled, snipers run roughshod over everyone else’s game experience. Overwatch is no exception.

Yes, they’re awful in every game.
Unfortunately, game developers never think about how to do things differently to avoid running into the same problems.
Snipers can be fun, but only on one condition: They require stealth to play, because targets that are aware are impossible to hit and/or a threat.
Snipers should be near-useless if they’re in a known/expected location, but you can hardly be in an unexpected location in a small, linear map.
