Why we should increase DPS Q times

nice to see the kerbals conquering space in their own idiotic way X3

Yes, that is what is on the menu today.

May I also recommend ā€œ5 dps is a viable compā€ as our wine, it goes well with it.

ā€œyou could have all played DPS beforeā€ is our desert option.

Enjoy.

well that is partly blizzards fault due to their early game design snafu when they had more roles in the game…

basically offence/defence rather then just DPS…
like torb symetra i think count as defence…

the idea was that people would flex depending on if they where on attack or defence and maybe depending on map…

But then people started maining crap and that whole system broke down and we had way to much dps…

you cant really blame blizzard for that… some things just dont go the way you expect them too…

But it sort of is their fault…

Get of your high horse. Everybody wants to play DPS, even the tank mains and support mains. But they chose not to because they arent selfish people. So no. Wake up, chose a different role so you might get some different perspective.

I mean that last part I will blame blizzard on. They didn’t think maining was going to be an issue? Literally look at any other hero based game or game with character selection. People will one trick a character they find fun, regardless of the meta or how the game was meant to be played. They must’ve designed the first half of the game with their eyes closed to the rest of video games.

^ That is why, friend.

With these leavers i would accept a priority que.
For the role you had in the canceled game.

… Because there are lots of people who only wanna play DPS. The end.

I agree, dps players are selfish

The main problem is there are too many ā€œDPS Wannabe’sā€ in the game. They see DPS as the ā€œcarryā€ role and the most fun role and will play it no matter what despite the fact they can’t actually play the role probably.

Its these wannab’es that give those that actually play DPS probably a bad name and its these players that cog up the DPS ques.

Love this ā€œyou could have played DPS beforeā€ nonsense

Yeah, you’re right, here’s the difference. If I played DPS before we wouldn’t have a Tank or we wouldn’t have a Support.

And, really, I’m not asking for anything other than for someone to pocket my DPS the way I pocket other people. Yeah I could have played DPS before, but 9/10 times I wasn’t getting the same DPS experience that my DPS teammates had when I was playing Support, because if no one plays Support when I’m playing DPS, my DPS is going to underperform compared to one getting pocketed the whole game.

Oh but it’s a viable comp, you say? Not as viable as 2-2-2, unless it’s Goats, and multi-DPS comps are not Goats. It’s especially frustrating when my multi-DPS comp up against Goats. RQ solves both issues.

Oh but most games are played 2-2-2 anyways?
No, get real, most games start as 1-4-1. By the time there’s a minute left on the clock, and everyone realizes we can’t win, that’s when one, maybe two, DPS players cave and fill the other roles. Then the McCree instalock gets on the mic for the first time to let their team know this was the worst team they ever played on.

Kudos to RobotWizard, this is spot on.

Because I left this game in S3, came back for a month and about quit again over the fact that I’d go an entire night filling roles I didn’t want to play or tilting over the fact that if I did play DPS for a game or two I wouldn’t have a Tank making space for me, or a Support topping me off.

The only thing that kept me playing was the RQ announcement.

So I honestly have 0 empathy for the DPS mains who are upset and leaving because their queue times are 30 minutes, because if I queued for a game expecting to play DPS I’d get stuck playing Support or Tank for 5 hours before I found game where I could play DPS without throwing the team comp wildly out of balance.

There are plenty of DPS mains who are just happy to have consistent Tanks/Supports, those are the only players I feel bad for that queue times have increased, because those were the team player DPS mains before RQ.

To those of you who are mad about queue times, I say to you what you said to us about not getting to play the role we wanted: Group up.

Honestly, same. That would be awesome

Not sure if bait or serious.

Yeah, and do the same with Backfill in QP games.

Just now, waited 10 minutes as a DPS to find a game. Map was King’s Row and I picked when the countdown was counting down. As soon as I picked, lost connection to the game. Reconnected to a 10 minute suspension. Super.

Sarcasm aside, it’s not about who deserves what. It’s literally just supply and demand. This is how math works.

DPS players bad :-1:
Support/Tank players good :+1:

ā€œUnfortunately trash, braindead players cannot adapt to 2/2/2ā€

Two can play this game.

I mean…I take no issue waiting my turn…idk what the big deal is.
If I want a balanced match with everyone playing a role they want, and I’m in a role many want … supply…demand.
Makes sense.

I don’t mind waiting at all

Lmao too bad all of that is utter nonsense.

This whole system has been forged this way due to supply VS demand.

It’s simple, extremely understandable logic. The more people that play DPS, the more higher the DPS queues will be, and since supposedly all the ā€œā€œflexā€ā€ players out there have recently voiced their complaints that they cannot switch and ā€œā€œadaptā€ā€ in the new system, it really is funny and ironic to see all of these DPS one - tricks at the same time refusing to learn more heroes in a game like Overwatch.

WHO IS WAITING HALF AN HOUR FOR A MATCH!? You angry forum dwellers exaggerate everything. My dps queue times are 3-7 minutes tops and thats in diamond @ 10% of the community.
