Widow exists in a game where most characters fight within a range of 20 metres.
List of characters who can kill widow as fast as she kills them from her intended range;
Hanzo (if she sucks or he sees her first)

She should have de scope and or/ projectile speeds should increase across the board while decreasing their hitbox sizes.
How I would balance the snipers:
Widow: Damage falloff at very long range (basically, play far out of Winston’s dive range, no one shots for you).
Hanzo: Cannot headshot within 10m (close opponents disrupt his concentration and prevent precision shots)
Ashe:
Bob to 900 hp.
25 healing extinguishes fire.
Slower unscoped fire rate.
It’s not a change that was intended to be beneficial for low end players.

That’s ridiculous (hanzo) so he should just die when someone get’s close to him with burst damage? (Hanzo) just needs a projectile hitbox decrease. For storm arrow you could talk about reverse fall off but his normal arrow?.
Hanzo is far too dangerous to dive for a sniper. You cant be extremely good close and very good far, that’s not leaving room for anyone else to shine.
He has lunge and wallclimb to escape.
What’s Hanzo’s vulnerability or weakness aside from Widow countering him?
He’s not good past 30 metres and ashe for example has her full damage in this range while having the benefit of being hitscan and can fire faster than him.
Just because humans have negative things stick in their head far longer than positives (when a hanzo gets lucky and hits you 40+metres away) doesn’t mean he’s strong at long range.
Storm arrow deserves a nerf because it’s too forgiving. I don’t care what they do to it- personally I’d nerf the amount of arrows and up the headshot multiplier so accurate players can still put out big damage, but it should either be less than 600 or exactly 600 damage with all headshots.
Hanzo even in his current state by design is fine (lunge is hardly an escape without a wall btw unless you lunge from reaper or roadhog) he just needs a hitbox nerf to his arrows because they are too big for as you say such a lethal projectile. Although I’d prefer if every projectile hitbox was nerfed because they’re massive in this game.
Hanzo needs to be markedly worse at short range because he needs a weakness that isn’t the other snipers.
I mean, him and Ashe have the same problem - they’re good at everything, no downsides.
Yeah I’m with ya- the fairest way without sucking the fun out of him is to nerf storm. You could add a second to lunge but that isn’t a problem. You should keep in mind a “pro hanzo” averages 35% accuracy in a match.
Do me a favour- play ten games comp on spamzo and only use normal arrow. Take the key bind off storm and see how “extremely strong” he is in close range then. His draw speed is what balances him in close range- as I said he could do with a hitbox nerf but to suck the fun our of the character by artificially putting him at a 70:30 disadvantage versus anyome who get’s within 10 metres on him isn’t a well thought out idea.
I would probably reverse that. He should be able to headshot at close ranges as an anti flanker, primarily anti-Tracer tool, but long range it feels stupid that a random arrow can pick off. Maybe that’s just me.
