Why is there no option to rejoin in qp

as title , sometimes peoples pc’s do crash , why should players that this happens to have no option to rejoin qp games like they do comp ? so that they dont pick up any penaltys?

Presumably so that your team can get a backfill immediately instead of waiting however long for you to reboot and restart the application.

They can back fill a player faster than you can likely get your stuff fixed and rejoin the game.

Its more detrimental to have a person screw a team over forcing a 4v5 fight for say 3minutes while a person attempts to reconnect.

It makes sense in other games. Darktide missions can take 20-40minutes to complete a 4 player co-op group. The game gives you a grace period to return before it will boot the bot playing for you with another player.

OW is too momentum based to allow a person to really stay unfilled for too long.

Because getting a free loss in ranked because someone else had a hissy fit or their internet died is extra unfair when it means losing rank progress. There’s no progress to lose in qp.

Then they should not have a leaver penatly

I wonder why it does not have rejoin button. I guess all the resources when to adding penalties that they don’t have the budget to add rejoin.

“Backfill players losing progress” and “Leavers ruining the game for others” are two entirely different things. Players don’t choose to risk losing progress by backfilling, and players leaving without legitimate reasons are choosing to ruin the game for others.

I would think it’s pretty obvious why. Can’t really rejoin a game that is now full.

still doesnt make any sense to have an penalty in qp , people use it mess about and practice and be able to scoot out of a game if real life stuff happens , or for those 5-10 mins spare time they have

competative i agree with , but qp ? shouldnt have any penalty at all , especially if they dont add rejoin ,could have been as simple as the game crashed which would take me seconds to rejoin . all this takes 3 mins to reboot , it isnt always a pc crash .

It’s because some people absued the system when the leaver penalty was light and as a result everyone has to suffer.

A tale as old as time.

It’s less than ideal, by far. Getting backfilled sucks and being the team that has to wait for a backfill with no ult charge also sucks.
