Why is Sombra rewarded for mediocre gameplay?

You want to nerf an underperforming hero by three times what the devs called the most serious balance change they could make.

What balance change are we talking about? I am lost.

-25 HP. They want to take 75 HP from Sombra and just leave her like she isn’t ALREADY bad.

Absolutely right. Her skill ceiling is higher than ever.

Not so sure about seeing her as a support tho xD
I wouldn’t go so radical with her as far as which role she is in.
I like the idea or intention for her concept

Making Hack go out on cooldown the moment the ability is cast on a target

Because right now you can turn 73times while playing Rein, facing her to break line of sight from Hack and avoid losing your shield; and you can outplay Sombra every-single-time she tries to hack you, and the ability won’t ever go out on cooldown

You are arguing win rates with health pool changes

I’m strictly talking about game mechanics and gameplay balance

You haven’t been able to hack players or turrets from invis for like 3 seasons now. And she was even weaker when she could.

issue here is that making it so she can’t do these things effectively makes all the things she’s needed for even more oppressive than they already are; there’s a reason why people who don’t play Sombra will swap to her for a ball, for example. There’s no counterplay to many of these issues, but even then someone of high skill can and will still destroy a sombra counterswap regularly.

Sombra is actually weak right now, spent all evening playing Wrecking ball, and she couldn’t do anything to me, if your tank hero has a ranged m1, was also playing rammatra, and I was discovering the enemy sombra, ruining every setup they had, and every time they were pulled out of cloak before doing anything their usefulness plummets.

She can already disengage effectively and go INVISIBLE. Use your brain

Actual mouth breather. She is a hot pick in metal ranks of course she will have a low wr, doesnt mean her kit is isn’t annoying as hell.

You can hack people while invis.

It may take you OUT of invis, but the whole point is that in ow1 there was the tradeoff of strong counter ability but you have to come out of invis first. That animation has to play before you can start hacking.

Now, the coming out of invis animation just happens at the same time as the hack animation, so it’s borderline unreactable. You’re not going to be able find where the hack is coming from and land a shot in just 0.8 seconds to cancel it (or shorter idr).

Says the guy complaining about a 45% winrate hero.

Because y’all are bad. Get out of metal ranks and Sombra will magically not be a problem.

Not quite that much. Specially when Devs say that they do consider changes for characters, based on data alone, or when such character can create a negative effect on the community

Yeah…but Sombra doesn’t. Sombra isn’t a hero that the devs are gonna nerf for no reason when she’s already underperforming

Same reason Ana is I guess. Throw nade at enemy tank whenever it’s off CD and sleep them if you can. Time nade so it stops them advancing, even better.

Give her 4 translocatoes and one of it healing her and a second uzi and you have a deal

You get second uzi but you loose viroose and your total ammo stays same.

I still feel I’m giving a better deal.

Also if you get 4 to with a heal you loose invis and hack.

I still feel this is that I much of a better deal :joy:
