Play QP Classic.
Short queues even at 5 AM, play whatever you want.
RQ QP is a sad joke.
Can’t say I’ve had that issue. The longest queue I’ve had in it is 9 minutes (roughly), and that was with both my and my buddy queued as DPS. Typically, I’m looking at <2 minutes for support and 1.5-3 minutes for DPS.
But it’s in the game so people who don’t want to be sweaty and play Comp can play a more-structured mode than what’s offered in the Arcade

For my last QP match I waited 8 minutes.
Enemy team had 1 player short.

Yeah, I also had 30 minute role queue last night with QP. I usually just ignore the screen til I hear the matchmaker say it’s joining a match - but at 30 minutes, I just shut OW off. I’ll try picking it back up when the next patch comes out - but there’s other games where I could get in 3 games by the time I play 1 here.

We need QP, but Role Q is honestly just a pathetic joke of an idea. Same with Comp.
RQ in Comp absolutely killed it. Takes away flexing which is such a core value in this whole game it just doesn’t feel right.
RQ should have never been introduced.

Role Queue isn’t bad. Hero balancing is bad. 16 characters in 1 category that are all over-balanced to try and burn through triple tank and triple support.
Well… all but Sombra.

Hero balancing is bad… But so is role queue. It just does not work. As evidenced by how it currently works in-game. Rofl.

Literally I dont think that this is entirely true what you’re trying to say. Cause i’ve never had that long wait time in qp.
Also, i’d say this thread is a joke.

my point is the quickplay in the main area should be quickplay classic
why don’t they put the crappy “role queue” quickplay that no one at all plays in the arcade or something
just trying to justify their piece of garbage role queue that has 40m queue times once you are at 4k SR
RQ should only ever be in competitive and bring back a flex role
so an off tank could switch to a dps or healer when needed
a lot more comp options then

I’ve never had a queue over 20 minutes, and only one over 15. It wasn’t after role queue either

i’ve had 30 minute queue times in quickplay… and I wasn’t even at 4k SR w/ DPS… only 3800
it’s annoying i cant just play a regular match that isn’t hidden away in an arcade screen with 10 other match types no one even plays… like “Random FFA DM”… still have no idea why that is in the game
I’ve been only queuing DPS today and haven’t had a queue longer than 7m. Do you live in Siberia or West Australia?
