I don’t mind it I like when i bait genji to me then escape after he dashes and waste it cause he doesn’t get a kill with the whole resetting ability thing…
i dont find the ult combo overpowered. two ults being insanely powerful is fine. i at least have an issue with it being the only viable strategy for genji for the longest and that his entire persona is basically being so overly reliant on that combo to win fights.
i personally found it unhealthy for genji to be mediocre or bad all around and the excuse was “because he has nanoblade to make up for it,” which is generally not entirely all of genji’s fault. it’s basically the fault of the synergy between him and ana.
it’s a bit similar to how people always complain about the Pharmercy synergy. pharah is pretty fair to beat by herself but the minute you add a mercy pocketing her, it’s extremely difficult to take care of them. People have also said the same thing that pharah can’t be buffed solely because of Mercy’s presence. honestly, i’d rather see a vanilla genji become good in his neutral and become more self-sufficient than being so reliant on mercy & ana with his blade.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that a rather more popular hero would get more negative feedback generally speaking and since genji is one of those popular heroes that relied on the nanoblade combo so much, yeah there’ll be LOTS of complaints.
This is definitely why it’s louder than others.
If Sojourn was more popular in low SR, nano overclock would be complained about just as much.
And what? They exclusively save those moves to facilitate nanoblade? In reality, you’ll force Kiriko to use Suzu and Genji to use his deflect. If you don’t, they deserve to get their abilities off, right?
I don’t agree, because every nanoblade I see follows the same “dive into the enemy team” plan with very little variance. you know where Genji will be, so Earthshatter will work due to inherent mechanics. Again, the only caveat is if you apply absolutely no pressure to the enemy, so they can literally all save their abilities and dump them on genji in that one moment.
I’m sure Suzu bails out Genji a lot, but I’m also sure a lot of people will give Kiriko too much breathing room. In a scenario where she has to use Suzu or die, is she still saving it for nano blade specifically?
Yes. Again, my main complaint was about how the game grinds to a halt and everything is done in context of nano blade being available soon.
The only way you can really bait both of those out is by commiting abilities that are “go” signs for them to nanoblade.
So you’re just baiting yourself more often than not. If they mess up, yeah, you can force them out, but again, it’s shifting the game to revolve around that combo.
Kiriko, the hero with an interdimensional teleport? That one?
The team coordination gap you’d need to have to get that out on a Kiriko who is playing safe would be so great that you’d already be stomping the enemy team.
Probably because he’s able to easily dash to whatever he needs to kill. You can’t just leave the area
The big complaints from Grav dragon back in OW1 was from when Mercy’s damage boost worked on Hanzo’s Ult. This allowed Hanzo to kill through Zen’s Ult.
It was just after Hanzo’s rework iirc.
Mercy lost her ability to damage boost certain things after that.
yes and you know it too
Because Genji is for noobs.
I hate noob Genjis as a team member in comp because they die very often and have minus KD and we always lose.
nanoblade is for sweaty tryhards
