Because if you want to talk about heroes state, Genji is the last person on the table.
There are worse heroes in worse positions that don’t even get a mention at. Genji is still a hero that has a good kit, just got a buff on his right click, great mobility, strong ult (On his own and with others.).
Stop asking for a buff that the devs took out that made the hero broken.
Except I dont main Bastion, Mercy, or Symm, why would I ask for buffs on heroes I don’t understand? It didnt even make him broken either, it gave him another way to get out and occasionally it gave him another way to engage. Even if it was broken back then (which is a very big if) what makes you think it would be broken now with the endless amounts off CC in the game?

It’ll be like McCree, Tracer or Widow asking for buffs. The heroes that are in an actual good position and has no reason to actually be concern.
Being able to move nearly half the map with a single jump is straight up broken, never mind the engage and positioning a Genji can easily take.
Cause if Genji got that back, you want to know what will come back? The Brig.
You know, that Brig that broke the entire game? If Genji got his ledge dash back, there’s no reason why Blizz can’t bring that back as well.
Genji can run and escape well enough with his base kit alone. Abusing a bug like that is like why Echo got her super jump removed.
Why are you comparing ledge dash to brig? Ledge dash never caused the most toxic meta in the games existence and was no where near as broken as brigs entire kit before nerf. And again, its obvious you do not understand this hero comparing him to MCREE who is literally the most broken hero in this game rn. He is in a bad spot, as you will hear from multiple Genji mains.

I’ll never understand how could someone even think Genji is a bad hero, when he’s still able to get good value, has a good kit, and yet, ask for a buff that’s very specifically taken out because of how strong it makes it.
As much as I find it fun, I didn’t complained once when they took away blimp tire. The time where the Tire can quite literally climb darn near everything and gain a speed boost when it flies off a surface.
Lots of so called genji mains, even the pros, have so little faith in their own hero.
It’s sad.
I do miss blimp tire, I agree that Junk is in a terrible spot rn (if you look at my profile you will see he is my secondary hero) but you talk about Genji as if you have a lot of knowledge on the hero, and i’m not trying to insult you or anything but its obvious you do not. His base kit on paper is great, who doesnt like all that mobility? But to be anything more than a blade bot he needs the ability to get in and out with out dying on a consistent basis which he does not have with all this power creep and cc that has been added in over multiple seasons.

Genji really isn’t in a bad position considering that he is still able to get consistent kills and able to duel a lot of heroes.
If you saying that he’s dying getting in and out, I would say, how on earth are you dying because he should be getting a dash on reset and Genji still has a reflect. The amount of CC as well that can really go through Genji are maybe rock, flash (And that’s really dependant on the mcCree.) and maybe rocket punch.
Actually most CC in the game gets through deflect. The only CC Genji can reflect on a consistent basis is Ana sleep but you will often see Ana sleeping Genji during his dash or when he dashes up for blade/nano because its so easy to shoot him in the air or during dash. Mcree is usually a direct counter to Genji (assuming his flashbang is up and the Mcree is skilled).
Consider me heavily skeptical then.
Genji shouldn’t be buffed for now since his toolkit is pretty good. More so when it comes to mobility, having mobility creep is exactly why we’re having so much issue in the game.
I can agree to disagree, but I feel as if the CC creep has been the bigger issue though I also understand that SOME CC may of been necessary to dial back the mobility.
I’m was a genji main when the game released (and still is) and the removal of ledge dash pained me but it was straight up broken. You could go from eichenwald bridge all the way to first point in a few seconds and pop blade high in the air before anybody notices you.
I still think the weirdest complaint is that Dragonblade is bad. All stats indicate it’s one of the most lethal ults in the game, with an average kill count twice as many as some other dps ults. When such a lethal ult exists it’s obviously necessary for counterplay to exist in the form of stuns, you can’t have a strong ult also be easy to pull off.
