I once read a good analogy for bullying. You take a porcelain plate and say bullying is the same as breaking it.
Gluing it together is the apology. But despite the apology, the plate will never be the same again.

I had a lot of fun in a custom game over the chat. We were trying to get through an insanely hard modified junkenstein mode with buffed bosses.
We were all cracking harmless jokes. Akin to “you must zig better than you’ve ever zagged before”.
“And the first one respawning this round… is meeeee XD”
“Wow, you’re on like 0.001 hp” (died just as message was posted) “never mind”
(Dies for the 5th time) “guys, i don’t think JQ is the meta here.”
“What do we try now” “idk, whatever i guess” (mauga, lifeweaver, mei, junkrat) “the disaster round is a go go goooo!” (We nearly won with that because we were all relaxed.
“Guys, i have a solution to our problems (picks bastion) 1000 bullets a minute”.
It was the most fun i’ve had in a good while. And these are just the things i can remember from the top of my head, and most without context.
It’s sad that a few rotten apples ruin what could be a good feature.
They can keep it for custom games. Those are glorified chat rooms anyway.
The problem is that they aren’t just few in this game and the game design itself encourage more toxicity. The report system and bans are just bandaids.
That´s the sensitive behaviour to me - some self control dude…

I miss when WoW had GMs and they would post on the forum in response to the ‘I got banned for no reason’ threads and clarify all the stuff they did to actually warrant the ban.

I miss Eyonix too. Where he would come into WoW threads and tell sensitive people to have thicker skin in blue text. Ah, the old days.
May be try this in real life to test if what you did is normal or not. If you still young tell your mom your food suck, tell your dad do work harder, tell your bro/sis don’t steal love, tell your teacher give me more test point. If you grown up tell your boss you want to take their place and see how they respond to your words.

I’ve done this in real life and I can tell you exactly what happens.
If its false, your boss doesn’t care because they don’t need your validation.
If its true, and you are better then they are, they get angry because they know they are a garbage boss.
I just told my Sistah Spice not to steal love and she looked at me as if I had a disability. Is that what I was going for, or did I do something wrong?

If I recall correctly, DARE actually increased the amount of drug abusing losers. They are my Overwatch teammates for real! If you just do the opposite of common sense, you are really, really cool. Everyone respects a drug addict! You go, girl! Yeah. Teen pregnancy is even more awesome.

We don’t do DARE where I teach. We have this thing called “Positivity Project”
I have to take 20 minutes out of my day to teach a bunch of kids how to behave like functioning human beings…and it does nothing
