They said they remade the entire game from scratch (ow2) on a new engine due to the old one being hard to use and that the new engine coming with overwatch 2 was going to make updating the game way easier.
Then tell me why they are waiting months just to readd features from overwatch 1.
They are only now adding back on fire, with level progression 4 months from now and things like ranked icons at the bottom left, end cards, and boarder levels not even being mentioned of being readded.
All of these things were removed with overwatch 2 and are being slowly added back whats stopping them from quickly adding these all back if all the blue prints are there + the new easy to use engine.
The simple answer is the devs are lazy theres no upper exec or PR bs to use here this is all on the devs who simply do not want to do their job when all the resources are on the table for them.

I think it’s more likely that an incredible amount of resources were redirected to PvE for a long time, which left no time for what seem like small PvP efforts. I think it’ll be better going forward with dev focus shifting almost fully back to PvP.
They can’t even fix my forum icon. I doubt they’re putting much into this game. They don’t care and just want our money.

Sometimes, a team isn’t given whats needed to see a project through.
If I need x pallets of bricks to get a house done but my boss only delivered half and refuses to send more, am I suddenly lazy because I can’t finish it?
Boss giving me the bricks wanted those for another house and let mine fail because the margins would be better.
Just business.
The issue is that PVE has been cancelled since atleast the release of overwatch 2 so whats their excuse for slow production on PVP since the release of overwatch 2.

It wasn’t. It got canned last month.
A bunch of stuff got descoped last year, but that isn’t the same as cancelling it.
If people could get their heads around the difference, a lot more of what has happened would make sense to them.
Lets see if it even happens :,) or at best the way we want it

It’s Bobby Kotick’s fault in the end. You should look at Your Overwatch’s latest video on why Jeff left the company.
He and the team had a vision for OW2, Bobby crushed it because of profit margins. It’s that simple…
heck they know ram is mega op but they refuse to do anything about him becuase they are freaking lazy…i feel like they just dont really care anymore
